    Fergie's humps.
It's alright. Kinda like a stripped-down version of SSHD. It takes a while to get used to and you have to be facing in the direction you want to shoot (unlike SSHD and Geometry Wars). The way you pause the game also sucks. It's pretty fun though even with all the bad stuff. For a dollar, I'd pick it up.

It's half decent. Not iShoot or anything, but it'll give you a little bit of solid playing time if that's what you're after.

First thing I thought when I saw this is why can't I see through the wireframe sphere? Would make it so much better.

Indeed, it's odd that you can see stars through the sphere but not asteroids on the far side. It's a selectively translucent wireframe sphere, I suppose. :)

For those who have overlooked this little gem, shame on you...I purchased spheroids a while ago and didn't really play to much. Well over the last month or so, the game has REALLY grown on me...I love it. I haven't got very far. But when I do sit down to kill a level it's always satisfying:) It's subtle, and some may be put off by the slow start, but by level 8, it should ramp up enough for anybody. If you like retro games, "this" is a must have.

I like the simple, retro feel of these games. I've always believed in keeping games uncomplicated, especially on smaller gaming platforms/consoles. Retro with the smoothness of a modern day machines works wonders in my books.

Yeah, I've put together a rather nice retro collection on my touch. Vector Tanks being number one, spheroids number 2 in that collection. I feel both titles are overlooked, but spheroids never comes up. I just wish more people would give it a shot.

Definitely do!! And if you haven't picked up Vector Tanks, get that too. These are in my opinion the best "retro" titles in the app store.

Also spheroids just got a hell of an update. Touch controls, hidden astroid detection, and an mp3 download of the title song.

Is the download inside the game, or of the devs hp?

I've had this game since it came out. Really a lot of fun. The sound (via headphone) is incredible.

Recently, V. 1.5 came out which adds additional (non-accelerometer) control.

A must buy at the .99 price.
