They are only essential if you need assistance in solving one of the puzzles. Played through the first 10 puzzles. The last 2 began to get tricky, as you need to rotate the circles so that the orbs reach the destination During the puzzle. 13 levels in the first world, 10 levels in the second, third, and fourth. Game Center achievements imply that there are 5 bonus levels in each world, therefore arriving at 63. It looks like tons of hard work went into this game. For each level, there are no time limits.
