Brb going to go download it now. Edit: Darn it's still one pre-order mode. I hope it's all offline. If it plays well and it's offline, I'll purchase it instantly. I've been looking for an offline Hearthstone-type game that I can play at my own pace. Gwarmaxx likes this. Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,616 377 83 #3 Talbs, Apr 4, 2019 It’s offline. And gives you the campaign (or part there of), to try out before purchasing full. I’ve only played a little so far so can’t tell about the actual depth this has to offer. Btw Lost Portal is another offline CCG if you haven’t tried it L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #4 L.Lawliet, Apr 4, 2019 Oh yes I played LP a lot but unfortunately since there was no cloud saving, I couldn't restore my progress onto my new phone. I've played this game for an hour and loved it. I went ahead and purchased the full thing. It's rather cheap as well at $2.99. The other modes have quite a lot to them. One is just simply making decks and trying to survive waves and the other is a roguelike with a map where you choose your battle path and try to survive as long as possible. ColeDaddy likes this. We don’t get many premium, offline, collectable deck building card games anymore. Complete with a campaign and 500 or so cards that can only be unlocked by playing. I played around with it for about half an hour before deciding to unlock everything (one purchase). An easy buy. iOS is plagued with freemium, online only rubbish these days, but this isn’t it. This is like finding Lost Portal all over again. A welcome breath of fresh air. At last, an offline premium card game with a story and a lot of cards / things to do! We have also Star Realms and a beta of Shard of Infinity. It's not so polished as Hearthstone but I really don't care ! I have played for a while and I liked it so far! influx Well-Known Member Aug 12, 2012 127 28 28 Male Developer Sydney, Australia http://www.spellswordcards.com #9 influx, Apr 4, 2019 Thanks everyone for trying my game! Just a heads up some kind folks on our discord chat mentioned there is a fiddly thing happening with the iPhoneX swipe to home gesture. I'm submitting a patch as we speak so it will require a double swipe and wont interfere with the cards. Hopefully it passes apple review smoothly. Much love went into it and it shows! I have an iphone x noticed the problem you mentioned but nothing to serious! Happens to me with almost every game so yeah maybe it is just me but of course if you are going to fix it it will be an improvement to an already beautiful game. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,127 703 113 #11 anthony78, Apr 4, 2019 Nice game but weapon cards are a bit weird. So it takes mana points (which are really like action points in this case) to draw the card but then you can’t actually attack with it that round? Just a bit different than other games like this. ioso Well-Known Member Jul 6, 2017 123 27 28 Male #12 ioso, Apr 4, 2019 Does it have iCloud support? L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #13 L.Lawliet, Apr 4, 2019 Your hero can attack once per turn normally but they need a weapon card equipped, which has a limited number of uses before breaking. The monk class (which is amazing but hard to use early since it makes you not use weapons) can use a character skill that lots you do unarmed punches and you don't run out of weapon uses. --- I also visited the Discord yesterday and mentioned about iPhoneX screen issues / UI issues (you can't drag cards to the middle area without the app thinking you're trying to swipe to the home screen) and then my big request is for more sound effects. You might notice that there's no sound when tapping different menus, moving around, going into battle, etc. I'd love to hear more to add more to the quality of the game. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,127 703 113 #14 anthony78, Apr 4, 2019 I understand that they need to have a weapon equipped. But what was confusing is that those mana/action points are used when you equip them (as opposed to actually using them). For example, if I have 2 mana points and no weapon, but a long sword costs two points, I can equip it during my turn but not use it. That’s just different than other games like this. Not necessarily a bad thing - just different. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #15 L.Lawliet, Apr 4, 2019 That's odd. I can use a weapon the same turn I equip it. The only time I can't attack is if I already attacked. MulDeR Well-Known Member May 22, 2017 98 5 8 #16 MulDeR, Apr 4, 2019 This looks amazing. Downloading! Thanks anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,127 703 113 #18 anthony78, Apr 4, 2019 Played some more and it’s weird. Sometimes it allows an attack after you equip. Sometimes it doesn’t. But it definitely doesn’t every time. Not sure if maybe there is a bug there that prevents it sometimes. RichardC Active Member Mar 12, 2011 29 5 3 #19 RichardC, Apr 4, 2019 I haven't had any trouble equipping and using a weapon in the same turn. So far greatly enjoying this gem of a game. As others have said, it feels like a solo, off-line, hearthstone-style game. But with the leveling up, character classes with different cards, quests and story, this game stands alone and is fantastic. Purchased the full game to support the dev - thanks for turning out such an interesting game! Son of Anarchy and L.Lawliet like this. L.Lawliet Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2011 6,405 420 83 #20 L.Lawliet, Apr 4, 2019 I've actually been enjoying the story. The humor is pretty good as well. It's great to play a solo game at my own pace and not feel like I need to rush to catch up with everyone. Plus there's other modes to try, but I'm saving those till later since I want to discover more cards in the story mode first, rather than having them all revealed to me at once.
