Max Level = 25 FYI, I just maxed out at level 25. Exp boosts now give 0 exp. Also noticed that recaptured ares level up along with you. I just went to start sweeping through nights bane tower again only to find enemies with 70k+ health (I have 50k). Ouch!
I recently bought a staff that has Fire Damage +19 as its additional effect. Does this mean whenever I attack, an additional 19 damage is added to my total damage dealt? Or does it mean I only do an additional 19 damage if I match 3 or more fire tiles?
I think it only adds if you match fire tiles. You can use gold to replenish your health after battle. There is a medikit icon in the lower right on your world map. The IAP is for revive in battle when you die. I think it is all doable without spending a dime, like most ppl do in this thread I guess. But yeah, it's a long grind.
Hmmm, slots in my gear are costing less today. Does the price increase per slot added per day??? Or maybe it is level based and I leveled after I last checked??
Not sure, but it's based on the slot, equipment stats as well as the rarity of the equipment on which you want to unlock a slot. Yeah, should be that way.
So I have concluded that Water Resist doesn't seem to do anything. It likely subtracts the resist straight from the damage figure. So that 10 resist on my weapon is real relevant when I'm getting hit for up to 1700 water damage at the moment. I had such high hopes for the rune that adds 20 water resist, but even if it levels to 100, so what? A life leach is 10x better. I need to test it more, but it also looks like +water damage to a weapon adds the damage in at the end, to the otherwise final value, and doesn't impact the base damage or get multiplied by anything. If so, lame! Also not real sure exactly what defense does. With +extra turn % having been deciphered (and being relatively weak), basically the only passive that I understand and believe in is life leach...
New update? Was playing last night and it looks like there's some new runes for sale as an IAP. One of those runes also ended up dropping in the store after a fight, so I could buy it for coins, but it was about as pricey as a purple item. The game seems a bit easier though, and I think my healing wait times have dropped. Maybe if my heal times were lower that is why it feels easier. I wonder what else might have changed?
Yes, I noticed healing wait times dropped last night as well... less than half of what it was. Not sure what else changed, though... Guess they're making tweaks?
It looks like the cost of new sockets has gone down somewhat, especially for the 4th and 5th sockets.
Got the new Stun rune for 20,200. Have to say, it seems like it will be a good rune once leveled. At level one, it adds one turn to the bosses attack timer. However, it recharges really easily (to level one anyway) compared to other level one runes. Thus, at level one, it can actually give you a couple of free turns. Decent -- for a level one rune anyway. Now a couple of free turns isn't anything to write home about I suppose, but once the thing is level 3, and if it recharges quickly for a level 3 rune, then yeah, I think you have a real keeper. The nice thing about it is that it won't become obsoleted like Heal I becomes obsolete by Heal II. The potential may be there to stun lock enemies if you have a couple of the convert tiles to cold rune and maybe a recharge rune or two, but even without stun lock it seems like a good rune.
How could they be tweaking anything without an App Store update since it isn't an online game? Or does it intermittently download update packets?
It communicates with their server hence that's why you'll see the green loading bar on start up. If you start it without any connection, the loading bar is already full as soon as it shows up.
I'm a little short on gold to buy Toxin, one of the $4.99 runes. Its like 22,350. I don't think I can harvest enough gold in missions before it falls off. I'll be 2-3k short. Ah well, I guess I can not play until tonight Probably good luck that I got offered two of the $4.99 runes so quickly. Kind of a bummer that I'll be 0'd on gold (again!) as I really need new armor to retake the 3rd zone and clear the 5th.

I BELIEVE (based on observation & intuition only) that fire damage + 19 adds 19 damage points to your attack when attacking with fire. Ex. If your attack is 50 and you do a fire attack, the system will treat that attack as though your attack is 69. Same with defense. It will treat your defense at + that many points when attacked by the element in question. Again, this is only based on basically my own guess...but I think I'm right.
