Hi guys, first off, my correct IGN is Z1pknot (numeral "1" instead of letter "i"). Sorry for the typo. Anyways, my timezone is GMT +8. Currently in Singapore. My schedule is a bit wonky, but if you could get on Glassboard, it will be easier to organise matches between us (and again, no, i dont work for them. LOL). Im always online on glassboard using my IOS. There is already a GlassBoard group board set-up right now for Spellcraft. Invitation Code: xbhzt Hope to see you there! ^^
Zip, thanks for the games (and gold lol). I think it was your connection bumming out on us Will look at glass board ASAP x
GG Lechatcurieux! Tho a bit buggy there! >.< Got screenshots for the eel bug after all. The last game bugged out on me as well i think. kept me on "waiting" status forever! LOL
By the way just to say I really don't think they are Spellcraft bugs (although we'll try to prove me wrong!) but instead lost communications due to a poor connection! I'd feel happier about "network problems" ruining your game. Spellcraft bugs we track down and ruthlessly eliminate, but "network problems" we tend to have to live with once in awhile
small complaint guys. i don't know when this crept in but i'm on the latest update and when i'm building a new deck and examining a particular card, a floating gold bar appears in the bottom Buy/Sell dialogue box and covers the Buy option. this gold bar is a link to BUY more gold. IT IS annoying and i could call it money grubbing but i like you guys too well for that. is it necessary to have this "ad" in the game!? i'd appreciate it if you did away with such things. thanks! <EDIT> I see now. It shows up if you don't have the gold to buy the card.....hmmmm, ok i guess I can sorta live with that but I still think it's commercialism. I know how to get more gold if I want it, you don't need to shove it in my face. I'll meet you half way on this. If my device is not connected to the Internet I don't want to see the gold 'ad'. Can we do that in the next update?
Hey Mack, the whole point of this was really as a convenience at a point where it would be natural to consider looking at the gold screen. Before this option, you had to quit the deck screen, skip past the warning telling you your deck wasn't complete, and then more taps to get to the gold screen. With this new approach, there is a very small button which lets you view the gold screen right away, when it might be useful. We thought it was actually quite nice, and not at all 'in your face'. Is it perhaps in the way?
hey mike, granted 'in your face' was probably too harsh a description but the point is the same. and i understand your reasoning of convenience, but the button is not that small, it's distracting because all of a sudden it appears "from the right and moves to the left over the Buy button" and i, right or wrong, look at it as an IAP/ad. i think a permanent, smaller button in the lower right of that screen, out of the way and not suddenly popping up in the viewing area would solve both problems. please consider that. thanks!
Well, a problem is if I move it and leave it on, someone else will hate us for that, and say how they much preferred how it came up before with a little movement from the gold icon and ONLY when they didn't have enough gold! But, maybe it can be made a little less distracting - I'll see what I can do! And there I was thinking it was kinda subtle
Btw thanks for the feedback too, it is really appreciated as some of these decisions are very difficult to find the right balance, so it's great when someone takes the time to share their perspective. For example we agonised over whether to add larger gold packs, and finally decided that it made sense to offer a good range of price and value. Btw, are you all getting more 2-player games these days? Maybe we should organise a little tournament of some kind?
understood...BTW, did the user community ask for this in the first place? make the icon smaller and have it "be there" when i open the card. right now i bring up the card and 5 seconds later up pops this icon at the bottom of the page, then it moves an inch or so to its left and settles over the Buy button. it does this for EACH card you don't have gold for and it gets to be annoying, at least to me especially if you're looking at a lot of cards trying to build a new deck. lastly, how 'bout as i first suggested, activate it only if i'm on line? that will shut me up and keep the others happy too! OR, i can just make sure i keep at least 200 gold on hand!
Your last idea was by far my favourite, thanks for that But yes, I've made it smaller. And you are quite right that it could easily not appear at all if we are offline, which would be nicer behaviour.
thanks for listening mike. try and have one gold bar appear, say under the "faded" number under Buy, like: - Buy - $200 (faded out, don't have the money) - gold bar (link to purchase more gold if you don't have the amount on hand for the particular card otherwise it doesn't appear) and have it appear when the card is launched so it doesn't just "pop up". this way it will be obvious what it is if you want to use it and it will be less obtrusive. it will, more or less, look like it belongs there. if you do this you can leave it, on line or not. again, mull it over.
We will be haunting the new forum on our own website from now on, but we will be checking here too! http://www.spellcraft-ccg.com/ Steve@ThreeGoblins.
tried to register 3 times and it would not take the validation code (and yes, i did enter them correctly). maybe i'm banned already
lol! I just added another user and it worked fine - I believe the codes are case sensitive so maybe that was it? (It's the only thing I can think of ) If you try again and it still fails, email me (or via the site) the email address and username and I'll create it for you
I dont like those validation code things either. Here are some more of the power cards from the next spellcraft expansion.
Lol! Ahem Hey nothing implied, was just checking But, you do also have to accept that the captcha rejected your entry right? So you missed something, we agree Likely candidates - Character case - Missing space - Character mismatch (eg 'l' for '1' etc) Anyway - I'm sure if you try again you'll do it, Mark hates those as well and he managed
