Get Glassboard app on your IOS for easy match making!

Hi guys. Ive been playing this game for a while, but i havnt played a single PVP match. I tried going into random PVP a few times, but it never did find me any opponent so i gave up. Anywho, my IGN is ZIPKNOT. Add me up and lets play some!

Also, i would like to suggest for Three Goblins to setup a "Board" that we can all access easier and faster via our IOS devices like theGLASSBOARD app. I am an avid player of another game, Heroes of Order and Chaos (MOBA Game) and me and my Guild and a few other friends use the Glassboard App to organize matches. People just post a message on the board whenever they are available and looking for a game, and all members of the board will be able to see the message and act accordingly (the app has a notification feature). We currently also use it for discussing strategies and sharing tips. Further the app has a file and picture sharing feature. Its basically a more streamlined and faster Facebook dedicated to messaging within certain groups. One of the Three Goblins can create the "Board" and then post the Invitaion Code here. Anyone who inputs the code will have permanent access to the board unless kicked by the creator.

By the way members of our current boards enter their names in the format:
    Given Name (In Game Name)
This is done for easier identification. We can implement that as well if you think its a good idea.

So what do you guys think? : )

    LOL!
    Love it :)

I do like the idea of the map regions showing the future expansions in a subtle way though, so at least the connection with a future faction is made. Also it's kind of nice to see that they will be appearing in future.

We'll see what we can do :)

Hey Zipknot, thanks for the thought and it does sound like a good idea!

I have just recently been adding a forum to our main website, and one of the areas is to be dedicated to players looking for a match.

But actually the more the merrier - we can have multiple mechanisms and see how they do :)

(You don't work for Glassboard do you? hehe)

Ok there is a GlassBoard available right now.
    Invitation Code: xbhzt

    Zipknot message arrival

An observation: the post by Zipknot there has a timestamp of several hours BEFORE my "LOL love it" post (which was aimed at LeChat, Mack, NuMyistic), but only became visible to me approximately 24 hours after it was apparently sent.

Anyone seen that before and/or can posit an explanation? It doesn't particularly matter I'm just curious :)

But it could lead to quite a few mix-ups if posts are arriving dramatically out of order and insert themselves into the thread :)

    Power Cards

    Power Cards
    Further information

Hopefully the following will explain more about why we think these are going to be a good addition to the 1-player campaign, in a future update.

    (1) Add variety
It seems a lot of players only currently use the game in one-player mode.
The Power cards will make some levels a real challenge and may require careful planning or tweaking to beat - much like the achievements do now. See examples later for details.

    (2) Give the AI a fighting chance against very high level players.
Whilst I believe and have seen that Spellcraft's AI performs better than other card games, a well practiced human will eventually win more and more.
I've given up on several other card games as they presented no further challenge.

Note : these cards don't all just affect the AI side - some of them affect both players. Of course the AI decks will try and use cards that maximise any bonus they give , just as a smart player should!

A deeper looker at some examples:

Mighty Fortress - AI ignores first damage it would take each turn

Analysis: Clearly an advantage for the AI. But how will the AI capitalise on this? Well, cards that damage both players are likely to be used. So a smart player might think "I will plan to blast those cards as soon as I see them!"
Also, there is little point in hitting the AI for a measly 1 damage each turn. This suggests an assault by large creatures to make sure some damage gets through.

Extinction - Has a timer, when it expires you lose!

Analysis: AI decks that use this are likely to favour delaying tactics - after all it doesn't have to technically defeat you, as time will defeat you if you aren't careful.
A smart player might plan for all out speed, paying less attention to defence and just storm in with guns blazing.

Strange Energy - after playing a card , that player gains 1 energy

Analysis : Affects both players. AI decks using this might favour lots of small cards, as the more they can get out in a turn the more free energy they can gain. But could this backfire? Could a smart player take advantage of the AI's more rapidly depleting deck?

    Calm down, kitty :)
There I am not checking the thread for maybe a day, and all hell breaks loose :D

What's up with the forum? It looks okay at first glance.
One thing I immediately noticed - and it is not good - is that the Weebly stuff makes the forum bloody slow. More than 10 seconds to open a thread? Or not opening at all after >30 seconds? Does not compute. Use something else.

    You've been missed :)

For the forum, I don't believe the problem is with Weebly (the forum is hosted by a third party), I'm on to them but if they are still poor then I'll ditch them and find another provider.

    Feedback on the forum:

The posts are not separated at all, which makes it extremely hard to read.
Look at how TA does it. Not intrusive, yet it is very clear where one post ends and another begins.
    Now look at http://www.spellcraft-ccg.com/forum.html#/20130228/testing-2-2443188/
    See the difference?

And I do not see a search function for the forum anywhere.

This is why I had the impression the slowness is caused by Weebly:
When the forum did take a break, I saw "waiting for... 12697133.weebly.embed.tal.ki" in FF's bottom bar.

And the css seems to be quite sloppy. I see a lot of "declaration dropped" actions in FF's console.

I love this! Sounds fun! Will there be bonus gold for beating the AI under these scenarios as incentive for the extra difficulty? : )
