Just went in to check how much gold I had on each device and blam - synced up beautifully! Don't know what that was all about - only thing I can think of - started playing on the iPad with no wifi and by the time I ran it with a connection I'd already done the same locations on each device separately - would this prevent a successful sync? Whatever it was I'm happy now!
About Mortality: the card is powerfully, really. Once played, there's a granted loss of life points for both players. For me, also adding the Blood Orb / Blessed Unicorn / Rise Again combo I explained above means, that my opponent will lose: - 3 life from the Unicorn attack (if it hits directly) - 2 life by Blood Orb - 1 life from Mortality (or more, if more Mortality are in play) = - 6 life points while in the same turn I'll get - 1 life from Mortality + 3 life from the Unicorn = + 2 life. Thats a difference of 8 life points, done in just one round. Use mortality, but make sure you can compensate your own loss of life. Then this card will be deadly for your opponent. Mike just wrote me a mail and told me he landed safely, but it'll get hard to manage the Gold stuff. Well, no prob. We'll work it out somehow. Oh, and the app has to remain active for the transfer.
1. Sorry, forgot about that. Well, if you do it right, you add a nice chunk of damage. I had the AI chop away at me with THREE Mortality cards, plus some nasty critters. Made quick work of me for a change. It is dangerous: high risk, high reward. Good balance on the card, I like that. 2. Sounds interesting, would like to see that, too. But I do not know if it is possible; plus, we would need an additional interface screen, where all you can do is pick your deck. 3. Click on "User CP" in the topleft corner. Then under "Settings & Options", you have all kinds of fancy stuff you can edit, including a signature. I have my GCid in my user details (do not like signatures, they take up too much space). 4. Yes, very nice detail
You should give Spellcraft a shot, most definitely! I played quite some real CCGs, mostly less-known ones like Guardians or Kult (never liked Magic), and Spellcraft is one of the best I ever saw. As for storage: I download almost everything directly on my iPad, and once a month or so I download any games I consider keepers manually to the iTunes on my PC. Does direct WiFi download to your iPad not work for you? Note that I don't think iTunes on a PC is neccessary anymore (I sync like twice a year or so). I just do it out of habit.
Yeah defo. Under settings>iCloud>docs and data there's the option to use mobile data for syncing, default is to wait for a wifi connection.
1. Thanks for the explanation of the Mortality card (+ Vovin). I find the only times I really use are when someone has those 'chipping away' cards against me (ghosts, lava giants, mortality). Because it doesn't seem a massive amount I concentrate on other things, then I look and I'm OMG where's my life gone!! 2. Accept/Decline.....select deck......start game. Would be great! 3. Okay Sheinfell, could you put that as your signature "do not like signatures, they take up too much space" lol. I agree about sigs but it would be good to see people's GC details easily. 4. Ask Steve to tell you what it is lol
The next update, which should be any day now, knocks 200 MB off the size. But yes, hi-res art on so many cards is a killer. We had to think hard about memory reduction as we have only released 5 factions and there are at least 7 more to come, plus a few more cards for each existing faction . Regards Steve @ ThreeGoblins
Hello Uhdrill! I am especially pleased about your observations: "This game is soo addictive! At first it seems like it will take forever to be able to purchase new cards without resorting to IAP, but it is surprising how quickly the gold adds up and as most of the key utility cards are common, they only cost 10 gold each anyways. I cannot recommend this game enough for any fan of MTG." Yes,the key cards were deliberately made accessible. Nice to hear from Magic players too. I think you will find the game balance quite interesting, particularly in regard to not having to worry about drawing enough land or even needing to put land into your deck at all. Regards Steve @ ThreeGoblins
Carlos, are you bringing your whole family in? I saw two people (Evandro Junior & Senior) that look suspiciously related to you Nice. Our little goblin still is a few years away from playing, I'd say.
Loads more updated art on cards coming soon. I will put some of the art up for the new game cards as soon as I finish them
Quick hello Hi everyone, I've just read through the last few pages and it is so great to see the variations in tactics and styles in the game! Spellcraft is a labour of love for us and it took an enormous amount of work to get it to where it is now. It is very rewarding to see that it is enjoyed by so many of you! We love to see your feedback, both positive and negative, so that we can continue to improve the game - your contribution makes a very real difference to us. So what I really wanted to say was - thank you! Mike
So Krossek and I found time for a match, but something went quite wrong At first, GC was acting up and invitations did not work. Then we tried automatch which worked. But after turn one, we both got a "you won" message from GC, and the game ended. No idea what happened, but sure was strange... @Krossek: Sorry that didn't work out, maybe we can catch each other later today. Save travels, for now! 3 hours on the highway does not sound like fun
It's to do with one of you losing connection. Thinking about changing the handling of this. Steve@ThreeGoblins
Great update, I'm very impressed to see that cards will continue to be re-evaluated and changed if found to be broken. One small change was to raise taken under to 4 mana from 3 - a small change that actually really affects the strength of a killer deck I was slaughtering the AI with as I could previously play both a taken under and a lost in the same turn without "moxes". Also, the many creatures whose toughness raised from 1 to 2 vastly reduces the effectiveness of firebirds which were used as 1 mana kill spells previously. Bravo and great tweaking!!! Everyone needs to support this game!!!
Now that today's update is done, we can starting thinking about the next mini-update. Goals (i) In-game chat (ii) Various minor improvements (iii) 10 new cards Nine of those ten cards have already been chosen: Implode (Spell) Destroys strongest minion in play (including yours...) Cinderlings (Minion) Small fire creatures that, when destroyed, distribute their strength among your other forces Ancient Turtle (Minion) A huge creature with a forest on its back, that brings an Aura with it Sink (Spell) Victim suffers strength loss Kobo Summoner (Minion) Puts a Kobo from your deck into play each turn Shadow Dragon (Minion) Underworld will get its dragon at last Festerblight (Spell) Adds timers to cards in play Doomsong (Aura) Prevents both players gaining life Tree of Life (Minion) Slowly transfers its life to you On behalf of all 3 Goblins, thank you for your continued support. (that might save my bacon one day...) edit: Blast! Coincidence... I just found a sneaky mean cunning combo that's very effective! I'll put that into my deck, too. Funny is, these are two combos which can interact... some cards are useful for both combos. I think I am getting the hang of this stuff. Can't wait to try it on Lechatcurieux.
