Hi TA, Speed Demons was an Apple Arcade launch title. The top-down arcade racing game was delisted from Arcade in February, but will be returning to the AppStore as a $4.99 paid game (no ads/IAP) on March 20th. In addition to a number of improvements and bug fixes in version 1.7, save game progress will transfer if you used iCloud saving with the AA version. The full list of changes for version 1.7: Added player drafting ability (speed boost based on being close with similar-speed vehicles ahead) Added RESTART option to pause menu Added a way to change upgrades at race rules screen (tap on left/right of vehicle) Improved behavior of Stringray missiles Rearranged the options in the pause menu Fixed a few races that were nearly impossible to get 3 stars on Fixed a race that had the wrong vehicle Tweaked a few races that were just a little too difficult Fixed particles streaking around randomly Fixed some logic timers being too short when playing at 120hz Fixed some physics stuff not applying enough force at 120hz Slightly reduced difficulty on a few races Added a system to try to prevent save games from becoming corrupted Changed version #/display Flipped icon left to right Updated splash sequence (removed AA video) [A graphically-enhanced version will be coming to PC/consoles later this year.]
Hey, thanks for the post. I heard this was coming and I use to love this on AA and kept meaning to get back into it. Very highly recommend it to anyone remotely interested that never checked it out because it was AA. I’ll definitely be buying it, although I do wonder will my save data carry over or will it be a new start? I keep wondering this with games leaving AA if I’ll be able to keep saves or not.
Well, according to RG post, the save data will carry over if we use iCloud. The thing is I used the Game Center to have my save game sync’d, but I’m not sure if I did an iCloud backup per se. Anyway, I’ll know in around 11 days
Does it have screen rotate options? I'm playing with my Gamesir G8 gamepad, and I can't play it properly.
@solarnya as far as I remember it was always portrait I don’t remember ever even trying to rotate it. I don’t think it does but since I’ve never tried I can’t say 100% Works perfectly with touch no need for a controller with this one at all unless you’re using an iPad I guess?
