I will give that a try, hadn't thought of that. Also, as I understand it, if you want to play online, there is no way to do a direct match versus friends?
I play every day on both the iphone and ipad. On the iphone just play single duels and on the ipad I play campaign. If I were you I'd get the $4 ipad version first since it's the best implementation and play the six mages and put it through it's paces for quite sometime. To me this game will be played for years I'd imagine.
Yea I've tried ipad 2 and ipad 3 and have yet to get local multiplayer working. I really hope they fix it as I wanna utilize that feature soon if possible.
I downloaded this last night and am highly satisfied with my purchase. I may have overlooked it if I TA had not done a feature article. I was a fan of Kard Combat, even spending 9.99 for the full unlock but eventually lost interest in climbing the tower. Although Kard Combat's interface is slightly more sophisticated, I appreciate Spectromancer's simplified and more lighthearted, less sinister, presentation. It also seems to be much more expansive than Kard Combat, undoubtedly due to the addition of more cards and classes, more detailed story elements in the campaign, and also the suggestion of traveling the countryside as opposed to climbing a dark tower. In the end I think that it is a more than suitable replacement for its iPhone predecessor and will easily gain a permanent place on my phone next to Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer.
Is it already a known issue that switching between League and Campaign saves can cause corruption? It may have only been a one time freak thing but I had a campaign save in which I failed the last duel. I then played some league matches against the AI. When I went to resume the campaign game it started me back in that last match and treated it as a single duel match. Win or lose the match I was just dumped back to the Main Menu at the end as if I was playing a single duel with no way to resume the campaign itself.
Any word on the local multiplayer issue myself and others have asked here and on the official forums? It is the main reason I bought the game and not very happy at not being able to play.
I have no good answer. Problems with local network were reported, but I don't know what is the reason of problems. There are 2 local networks around me, and current iPad version work fine in these networks. We will try to find out why some players have problems with LAN, but I don't know how promptly it can be fixed. As temporary solution you can play in online league and duel only with people from your local network.

Then it changes to TIME_WAIT for about 5 seconds and then dissapears. the first one is ipad 3 and this one below is ipad 2. PHP: tcp4 0 0 192.168.11.3:55111 17.173.66.48:443 ESTABLISHED now another time I run it port changes from 55111 to 55116 then 55119. Also on ipad 3 port changes each time to 56936 and others. I pulled up Scrabble which has local wifi play and it's TIME_OUT seems to last about 15 seconds longer than your TIME_OUT. Not sure if this helps or not. The game does not use TCP so the first part is not relevant. But activity log message is very helpful! Error 13 is EACCESS and it definitely mean that system did not allowed the game to broadcast a message. This is normal for 3G connection, but not for Wi-Fi. I suspect that the game keeps using 3G connection despite Wi-Fi availability. This can be checked: either shutdown the game and relaunch it or temporarily disable 3G. Then try LAN game.
I can't stress enough how much I love this game. Years ago I was playing spectromancer on steam. Now it's on my phone!!! Fantastic!
both my ipads are wifi only models so no 3G. Most likely just something in the code....hopefully an easy fix.
I'm experiencing a bug in the campaign where if I lose a battle that I've rejoined from an earlier session, it doesn't let me continue but instead returns me to the main menu. Restarting the campaign takes me to the point in the battle where I had initially rejoined. Do we have to ensure we don't leave a campaign in mid battle?
There are no such plans at this moment, but it can be reconsidered if big amount of players would require this feature.
Love your game. Have played several online games lately. (Quasar is great in that it allows me to do something else in another window when the other party is making his move.) Any plans to release a version with even more detailed, iPad 3 Retina-optimized graphics? I'd even pay $15-$20 for even crisper graphics.
