Does anyone know if the importing of tzx files is still achievable on the latest IOS?

Seems like there was an issue with 8.3 so not sure if that was overcome or if it's just not possible now?

unfortunately Apple closed all side loading doors in 8.3 definitively...

it's a shame, specially for those like me that used to backup game save files often.

anyway, i still have an old 4S iOS 7.1.3 with a lot of emus (ZX, C64, DOS, etc), so i don't give a damn what the Great F***ing Fruit wants! ;)

It's a shame alright. I miss being able to add my own games. Got into a right groove with creating config files for a moment :)

Hold on one moment, how did you achieve this? What version of iOS are (were) you using?

iOS 8.2 in an old 4S, kept it just for emulation ;)

It is possible to add games to Spectaculator still! You have to use a product called iMazing, https://imazing.com/.

It works by taking a backup of your device which you can then modify and restore back. Get's around the restricted access to application files. It is a bit more time consuming, but almost the same process as before, with the overhead of doing a full device backup and restore every time you want to add/fix some games.

Take a look and if anyone is interested I can post some more detailed instructions here or in a new thread. Would be good to share some tried and tested configs as also.

I totally agree. It’s a classic. But check out Big Time Boxing.

Really reminds me of Barry mcguigans
