Hope my arm is not twisted in doing this if I need extra lives further into the game or I'll have to delete it as I refuse to be pushed into Facebook or anything relative to it. Add: later into the game it asks if you want to remove ads for $1.99 (which I did) and you also get a power up. It plays great though as all the Sparkle games do. Oh, asking to buy power ups now for 99 cents and to continue the game its most probable as I no longer can. Would be nice just to buy the full game outright to know what the actual price is. Decided to deleted the game. Free to try so if its of your interest, give it a go. pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,835 0 36 Military #6 pluto6, Jan 16, 2015 So, after the $1.99 to remove ads, now you are having to pay piecemeal $0.99 increments of who-knows-how-many in order to complete the game? So it could be $0.99 or could $29.99 if they have lots and lots of levels? I agree, tell us how much it costs to purchase the ENTIRE game, or barring that, state how many increments of $0.99 you are going to have to purchase if you want all available levels. I love the Sparkle series, but with this sort of IAP nonsense, I am regrettably probably not even going to install it so I am not disappointed. Worst Sparkle ever. There is no point in removing ads. It's still a free to play model with or without rezn Well-Known Member Mar 8, 2014 856 4 18 Coder/Keyer in medical ICD 10 Reno, NV #8 rezn, Jan 17, 2015 This is unfortunate to hear. I've been a fan of 10tons for quite a while and across many platforms. Always appreciated being invited in sandbox for BB10 when I ran reviews. But I agree a standard IAP model is needed if you want to appeal to raw gamers. FB Connect usually spells trouble for my personal tastes. I avoided the Sparkle release previous to this one because it had a similar FREE To Play model. Jaakko, if you're reading these we would love a clear idea of the games cost is? Regardless of all my gripping after reading these Forum posts I still love the game. It looks gorgeous on my 6 Plus screen and is as enjoyable as any other 10tons release. Looking forward to a clear purchase price(s) and quality releases. I really dispise this pay model, it's ruined so many great games and is really a black eye for 10 Ton in my book. Every game shouldn't aspire to be Candy Crush because they never will, they just ruin their games. I wish they wouldn't trash such beloved franchises like this, they did it right with Crimsonland, but this is just wrong UnhappyUnlucky Well-Known Member Oct 17, 2014 579 4 18 Lowell, MA, and sometimes Asia #10 UnhappyUnlucky, Jan 18, 2015 I forget to add that in order to continue the game I have to complete 3 challenges. I think I was on level 27. I didn't know what were the challenges but it ask me to ask a friend on facebook or pay $0.99 to continue. That was the end of my play as I couldn't continue on. Bye bye game. 99 cents to disable the ads 99 cents to buy an extra life 99 cents to buy each power up 99 cents to continue playing the game if you couldn't accomplish 3 challenges I can't believe there are people who give this game a good rating on the AppStore. I guess they enjoy tossing money away 10tonsLtd Well-Known Member Mar 10, 2009 414 23 18 #11 10tonsLtd, Jan 19, 2015 There's no upper or lower limits to the pricing. We've tested and verified that the current set of levels can be completed without buying a single IAP, although it will be very difficult. Sparkle Epic is a straight up free to play game. It will be possible to pour multiple times the average price of a mobile game into it. But, like said, you can also play for free. We have already made three premium Sparkle games, Sparkle, Sparkle 2 and Sparkle Unleashed. They've all been successful, but the trend is clear, as it is for all premium mobile games. Less and less people buy them. And by less I mean that 90-98% of people just don't spend on paid games, ever. With Sparkle Epic we wanted to reach these people, to offer them the Sparkle experience and to see for ourselves if grass is greener on the free to play side. Or if we can even get any grass, which is a very real concern for us considering how many deeply resourced powerhouses roam the F2P market. We'll know in a couple of months. Anyway, if you're a fan of Sparkle games, and you feel Sparkle Epic sucks, it's really very understandable. Sparkle Epic is for the people who have never played or probably even heard of Sparkle games. Which is not to say Sparkle fans can't enjoy Sparkle Epic, quite the contrary. We really don't mind if you just play the game for free as long as you like, and merrily delete away if you feel you can't progress without an IAP and won't pay for one (out of principle, for example, which we'd understand very well indeed). Anyway, Sparkle Epic mixes and matches Sparkle 2 and Sparkle Unleashed mechanics pretty nicely, and there's new ones in there too, so we definitely encourage everyone to try it! Just ignore/skip the Facebook login and IAPs if they're not your thing. UnhappyUnlucky Well-Known Member Oct 17, 2014 579 4 18 Lowell, MA, and sometimes Asia #12 UnhappyUnlucky, Jan 19, 2015 Those silly strange people I don't understand their logic. They are not willing to spend money on a premium games but are willing to spend tons of money on a F2P. So strange. I hope there will be a scientific study on those people someday. You're right, I have 3 others premium Sparkle games to play at the moment. I don't mind having this game available for new comers to try this game. If they like it enough they might buy the other premium Sparkle games! It's actually a good business tactic pluto6 Well-Known Member Jun 21, 2009 5,835 0 36 Military #13 pluto6, Jan 20, 2015 Thanks for clarification and the edification. I have long been a huge 10 Tons fan and generally purchase most of the puzzle type games that you have made. I am not much for time management games. Anyways, I will give Epic a try and wish you continued success, although I certainly am not a fan of the F2P methodology. It is too reminiscent of too many other aspects of out overly entitled society. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
