Great, I got it 2-3 days ago for full price. Not that I would not want to support the devs but I am getting sick that practically every game I get drops to 1USD in less than a month...
achj jonguh ga niet huilen, the games in the AppStore are allready low on price (and i'm not talking about DoodleJump), most of these games are well worth the price that people are buying it for if not more. You are not the only one that have to deal with it and i don't hear other people whine about it. Dev's are forced to drop prices not only to boost sales (a lil bit) but mostly to get in the top list because these great games are drowning in between the crappy ones. Most people are spoiled too much when it comes to the allready (too) low prices..
Do the people complaining about such things live in the real world? What products do you buy that don't decrease in value over time? Gold? Land? Or do you get upset every time something like this happens? "I bought a bottle of coke, and then i saw it half price in another supermarket 2 days later...arggghhhh!" "Oh no, that DVD I bought has had it's price reduced a month after it's release!!! Oh, the the painnnnnnnnnnn"
this game is totally worth the 4,99 price, but f***!!!!! I bought it like two weeks ago full price. This it it, I'm no longer paying more than 0.99 cents for any game, learned my lesson
Just wanted to add my support for this game, one of the best games on the app store! Looking forward to a possible iPad version
Yes, people live in real world. And most of them behave like clever consumers - if all of the games drop price too soon, sooner or later people will expect them to do so and will wait for sales. How many percent of DVD's drop price in 1-2 months? Yes, there are sales, but it is totally uncomparable to games in apple store. And from 5 bucks to 1 (a.k.a. 80 perc off) is a bit unrealistic in DVD's, ain't it? I have absolutely no problem to get games for 10 dollars if I like them and I know they won't drop in price too soon. But well, I learned my lesson too... Whatever, sorry for the offtopic. Oh, be happy, my friend.
I don't mean to downgrade you, I just loved the reply since so many ppl complain abt sales.... Anyway, if you want me to delete the quote I will(i'm going to keep the reply though)
I was holding out for an iPad version, but at one USD I had to pick it up. Looks good on the big screen with double pixel on anyways.
I bought this when TA reviewed it, but never got around to playing it until now -- fantastic game! One question though, which might already have been answered: I can't level up, it seems. The bar is full but I never seem to get the lvl 3 license. Anyone else have this problem?
Unfortunately its a simple fact indie games cannot consistently survive in the top 100 with a price tag over 0.99... you'll occasionally see a game that is 1.99 on the top 100, but that's mostly because its featured, had a price increase after it earned its position at .99, or just got lucky (and eventually falls off the list anyway). I mean just look at the top 100... there is maybe 2-3 indie games that are on the list that are higher then .99... If you check out the top 200, its still a shockingly small amount of indie games in that range that are not 99 cents. But honestly, that's not the all the consumers fault. The app store is littered with crap. Unfortunately its hard to trust ANYONE other then the big names like EA, gameloft, popcap games, etc... Its also unfortunately not everyone reads reviews etc to figure out which games are really good or not. On topic, though this game doesn't really seem like my style, I picked it up anyway because of all the good press
You're right about the amount of dross but I disagree with who you can trust. I really don't think that the big names have shown that we can trust them, either. As for reviews, as a rule I find the TA forums to be the most reliable buying guide, both in terms of flagging up "hidden gems" and for getting useful feedback on big titles. Anyway, enjoy Space Miner!
If you're at the point where you have to embark on a quest to save your uncle, you'll need to rescue him before you can level up, 'cos he has to sign the paperwork for your license. Otherwise it may be a glitch I seem to remember. Did you update to the latest version?
Amazing game! I've been playing for a little over 2 hours. I definitely suggest anyone who is reading this get this game, it's a great deal at $.99.
