Great update. Any news on the iPad version progress and whether or not it'll be a separate app from the iphone version?
Didn't think I'd be going through this game again for the third time, but this update gives me a fantastic reason to do so. One VERY important question: How does the New Game + work? Twice before I've started a new game on the same difficulty and I've had to start all over from scratch? Do I have to start on the next difficulty up?
Just saw this update - looking forward to leveling up again. But how hard is this going to get now? I'm dying enough already...
Awww, no pricedrop for the big update I was hoping it'll make things better for my buying addiction but instead its just made it worse, haha
Yes, of course. And by the way, it looks fantastic. Bump maps, new lighting -- everything looks more substantial.
Can someone post a before and after photo of the new graphics, I have the IPod touch 3G and can't tell the difference. Are the updated graphics automatically applied or do you need to enable them?
If it's the 8GB, it doesn't have OpenGL ES 2.0 support which is required for the new graphics. Here is the YouTube clip comparing the two.
Got the update, and the 3GS-enhanced graphics are excellent. Much more eye candy to behold, and I've gotten addicted to the game all over again. Awesome. The extra playability with new level license and toys to buy is a definite bonus, too; looking forward to getting to that point. Very nice update indeed.

Agree with Squeaker, wonderful update. I'll be playing through the game at least once more, making my 4th full completion Now that defines true "replayability".
