I loved this game just two things I didn't like.. 1. the last boss, was extremely frustrating, no fun at all. When the only way to take down his shield is to dodge him while he is trying to ram into you. 2. wish the game was longer, beat it in 2-3 hours and that is including doing all the side quests. could start over on superhard mode but I want my old ship that i worked so hard on. I thought saving the devs for the credits was a really cool idea btw all in all I would recommend buying this game
I'm 8 hours into the game and haven't beaten it once. If you "beat it" in 2-3 hours you, all you did was go through the missions. The game is plenty long if you actually, you know, play it.
well I didn't clear every single square since my ship was already upgraded to the max but I did do all the side quests and got every piece of alien tech, etc.. maybe it is the way you played? I did the hardest possible squares only so I made money quickly and maybe you kinda worked your way up instead? anyways, just as soon as I started really getting into the game and liking my ship mods, etc. I get to the last boss, everything gets locked after that and I'm just thinking "damn that was it? " did have a question though.. is there more cool weapons and stuff If I replay on hard or extra hard or is it all the same?
I played through it all last Saturday (which rarely happens no matter how good the game) and it managed to keep entertained until I decided to end it after about 7 hours. I'm now playing for a second time trying to get 100% complete on every sector. I guess it just depends on how you play it.
Boss is easy once u learn it's pattern. Equip laser beam for easy fight. Easy difficulty is piece of cake, just use laser and tank boss' ram. Hardcore require some skill to dodge as well as good ship maneuvering plus some patient(like recharge ur shield while avoid boss)
Argh, I foolishly thought I could complete the game with an old jalopy on hard mode. Now I'm having trouble with the last boss after I've destroyed his mega shield. I can't even shoot him properly without him ramming into me multiple times until I'm dead.
Old Jaropy award was quite easy to accomplish for me in Easy Mode overall due to the fact it's the fastest ship in terms of maneuvering. Old Jaropy has the lowest mass out of all hence with a powerful thrust from best engine you can maneuver that thing almost like you do in Meteor Blits(almost). So avoiding enemy ship and bullet is quite easy if u have good reflex. Boss was extremely easy for me. All u need to do is equip laser and shoot it all the way down. I used my laser on it's first form and let it recharge on the 2nd form and fire it up again on the 3rd form. The trick is to equip the Alien Tech that makes you immune to stun. So in the 3rd form when the boss rams u, without that alien tech it's automatically game over(almost) due to stun. But with that alien tech equipped, just keep firing the laser at boss, your shield should be able to hold the ram before boss dies. But I did it on easy, so hard might be a little challenging. U just have to keep running from the boss when ur shield is almost depleted. Try to use the hugh asteroid as a cover, run in a circle from boss while recharging ur shield.
So I just started playing Space Miner, and the game keeps crashing when I'm talking to that alien store owner for the first time. I'm using an Ipod touch 1G.
my favorite combo with alien tech was the one that increased fire rate of all weapons by 20% if all weapons are kinetic. equipped that and those level 2 AOE missles on every gun slot of my battle cruiser pretty much cleared entire giant boulders in about 2 seconds each and every boss there after went down in seconds/the final boss got owned
I'm sorry you are having issues with Space Miner. We are aware of this crash and have a fix in place in the update. Unfortunately, there is no work around for this in the current version.
This is terrible! I have an exam coming up next week and yet I'm still playing this game!! Ah well, if I fail my accounts this time I have something to blame . I've clocked in 10 hours on normal mode. Still on the first playthrough, I want to explore every sector before I find the last boss.
addicted to this again, after two weeks of finishing the game got to try to do the achievements, though the only ones i know i'll be able to do is the 100% clearance and finish in 4 hours. the rest im not so sure about...
Actually, I thought the last boss was too easy. I beat him on my first try since my ship was fairly upgraded and the solution to beat the boss is given to us in the beginning of the scenario. I think it would've been more fun to let us figure out how to beat the boss on our own and give us a hint only if it looks like we need it i.e. just as the boss lands a killing blow on us. Then we'll be encouraged to try again with the new information that we have heh heh... I don't think the game is too short. It's fairly priced at $5 and a steal at $2. Let's just hope that the devs make enough money to support a sequel
Finished the game and I would say that was one of the best game I played on the Iphone Question if not already discussed in this forum: Will we have a Space Ore Bust II with new scenario, new game playing style, new .... ????
i hope so.. venan doesn't say anything about it..but now that with the 1,99$ sale the game has a very good success it's very probably
I don't know what the actual sales figure are for the game, but I'm hoping they'll be big enough to encourage Venan to cobble together a sequel. I would absolutely love to have an all new adventure to embark on, maybe with some new elements, gear, field types, etc. If the overwhelmingly positive reaction in this thread is any indication of its popularity at large, then Venan should be plenty encouraged.
