Game Impressions My game crashed at this point too, after the last cut scene finished and the game was busy loading the developer credits level. However, after restarting the game and defeating the boss again, the developer credits level loaded just fine. According to the crash logs, it looks like I ran out of memory. The only other times the game crashed on me was in the Aquarius sector, maybe because I tried blasting through it quickly and there was too much going on on the screen (iceroid shards everywhere). When I flew my ship really slowly and shot things down one at a time, I was able to finish the level without crashing. Anyways, I just wanted to compliment Venan on making a truly amazing game which is on par with something you would expect to find on a game console. It looks like Space Miner is finally moving up the charts so I wish you the best in financial success and I look forward to seeing your next game
Oh, it was? Dang. Guess I missed it when it was first posted and didn't pay attention to the post date. Still, I would have paid $5 for it.
Wasnt there an app that help you free space in the idevice's memory? I know I had it, but I had to restore my itouch and I don't remember how it is called EDIT: nvm found it, is called Memory Sweep if anyone is interested (free)
This is the best game for iPhone I have played so far! I totally love it! Now about 7 hours ingame and still not over. It is awesome! Thank devs so much for this game. You have 5 star review from me! I have only one wish - please, add more levels with that superb humor!
How many license levels are there? I'm stuck at level 3 for the last hour and the level bar has been full for the last hours or is that the max? Great game. ReviewsbySteve
Check it out - Space Miner is featured on Metacritic - http://features.metacritic.com/features/2010/best-iphone-games-february-2010/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed:+metacritic/features+(Metacritic+Features)
I was going to put it on my watch list but after seeing this and all the positive reviews, I have no choice, gotta buy it. I'm hoping now that I get lost on some stranded island with power outlets so I can actually play some of the games I buy.
Thanks, I never seem to read all of the story lines!! How do I free my Uncle? (Working on a review for this game now.) Steve
I bought the game during the sale and for some reason, I can't stop playing that game. It's just so good. I passed on that game when it came out for some reason. Notice it was on sales and I just kept ready all of these great reviews and comeback so I bought it and I have just been playing that on my ipod since then. Great game.
Go to the map -- there should be an area highlighted with an arrow, a circle, and what looks like a page in the middle. If it's grayed out, you may have to explore the sectors nearby to find a satellite with the location of the sector. BTW, reading the dialogue is one of the chief pleasures of the game; they're hilarious.
I would feel guilty for buying this on sale but, then again, my friends are buying this on my recommendation so that helps make up for it somewhat
So, when the game tells me that the sector was 100% cleared - does it include stuff like alien technologies/satellites/derelict ships? I cleared most of the sectors in the minig field, but only have measly 6 alien technologies... If it is a spoiler, don't spoil me, please. Just curious if I am missing stuff.
Ugh. I cringed at the reviewer who called it an Asteroids clone. Besides that though it's got deservedly top marks all over the place.
I don't know what happened, but I'm having a hard time putting this game down. It's perfect for quick, pick up and play sessions. Even for five minutes you feel like you get somewhere.
