bought this game a few days ago at 5 dollars. at first, i was not that happy bout the sale cuz it seemed like i wasted 3 dollars. but after approximately 15 minutes, i realized that this game is more than worth the 5 dollars. SO much replay value and so much fun.
Space Miner hasn't cracked the top #100 games, let alone the top #100 paid apps list, so I don't get why some are thinking this game has met sales expectations. It's criminal that this game hasn't cracked those lists. Also, Apple is really dropping the ball promoting the game. Sure it ended up on their "hot new games" section. But most people don't see that section. What they check out is the "what's new" section in the "featured" category. That's where the game needs to get to get exposure, and why Apple hasn't put in there is baffling.
Anyone somehow still on the fence on this should switch off their brains and just buy it while it is at this price - the number of hours of gameplay at the original price was the best value on the appstore this is just a complete steal so just get it bought already!!!
That exactly what I did. lol I wanted to buy this but I have a bunch of games I'm already playing, but as soon as I saw it was on sale I didn't think twice.
I am still not in to the "asteroid shooter" type games. Even watching all the videos of it, it still is just not a genre I can get into. Graphics do look solid though.
If Freeverse's Warpgate ever comes out, we'll finally have a Privateer/ Escape Velocity-esque game. Too bad I haven't seen any news on it since October. That said, I love Space Miner's sense of humor and I'd like to see what the devs could do with the genre.

I bought this game a few days ago when it was 4.99. I had not played it yet. When I saw the sale I was a little upset. Then I got to playing the game. 2.5 hours later I was having a great time. This is the best app I have played. The graphics are great, the controls are also great. It also has a great story. Whoever does not buy this at the 1.99 price is making a huge mistake. This is one great game well worth more than the 4.99 I paid and certainly more than the 1.99. DO NOT WAIT, GET THIS GAME NOW, you will not be dissappointed.

Wo0t! Made it into the top ten. Only at 850/1000 on the achievements, but think I'll set it aside for now so I'm not burned out if/when new content becomes available. Really can't say this enough, and I'll say it again...totally fantastic game! Thanks for making it, and good luck with the sale!
Another why the heck not I was putting off getting Space Miner, but $2 is too good to pass up. That completes my "asteroids" page on the ol' iPod. I think the dev would have gotten just as many sales at $3, and shown off SOB to be just as valuable as PvZ. My app-store price perspective right now is to pay a buck or two for a short adventure, or a common puzzler with an interesting twist. Up to five bucks gets me a mid-sized adventure, or a can't-put-down puzzler. GTA is the only game to tempt me beyond $5 so far.
OMG, I had no idea I had been playing this for 4 hours NON STOP! I only bought it earlier and thought I'd have a quick go to see what it was like lol! And WOW!, absolutely FANTASTIC game!, not only is it the best game I have played on the touch, it is one of the best games I have played to date! Well done on making such a fantastic game!!
I still have to go home and D/L this one... rawrr..... btw I've made that statement to people (one of the best games, period) and I usually get a reply like "REALLY?" as though the touch is just a phone and doesn't have quality titles on it. sorta bugs me a little considering one of those people owns a touch and doesn't get it. (btw that other game was Hook Champ)

Yes! I had high expectations and Space Miner CRUSHED them. Here's the email I sent my friends who have touches: Honestly - words don't do this game justice. Simply amazing! I feel BAD that I got this on sale, like I've stolen from this dev.* If I had to delete all but five games on my touch this would make the cut, no question.* Think Asteroids meets Ratchet n Clank. Now stop thinking and get this while it's on sale. You will thank me! truly a no-brainer for $2
