Damn, just finished "Piece of Junk" award on Easy Mode and I can say it was as hard as Hardcore. Since you can only use the old jaropy the entire game, you are limited to only one weapon. Took so long just to kill 1 enemy. Boss was surprisingly easy due to the super easy maneuver feom low ship mass and besr engine. However, normal stage was hard!! Especially saving Uncle Jeb, 4 enemies guarding each satellite hits hard on my old jaropy, not to mention time limit. If you want challenge, try to complete "Piece of Junk" on hardcore level lol, it'll be the best and most frustrating experience because you have to precisely maneuver your ship all the time dodging asteroids, enemies and their bullets. One mistake or wrong turn or overthrust your old jaropy will blow up into pieces
my favorite game period, end of story....just keep updating it with more content/asteriod area types and more upgrades and ship types....
WOW! 7.5 hours in with only a quick lunch break and I'm having a great time! Working my way through clearing every sector and am loving every minute of it. Excellent graphics, story, sound and controls, and the challenge on Normal is perfect for someone in their mid 40's with crappy reflexes and no hand/eye coordination. My hands are a bit stiff, but that's the only downside I've seen so far. Amazing game, ultra-highly recommended! Thanks Venan!
Someone (f) who just turned 68 and has absolutely zero experience with arcade games is also having a lot of fun. A few deaths, a lot of time, but big fun.
Has anyone completed the "Rampage!" award? It requires you to kill 10 robots in 5 seconds or less. It's really hard. You must have alot patient and luck to get it. Wait until 10 robots on screen within range them use blast wave. The problem is there are hardly ever more than 7 robots on screen. I managed to kill 8 with a single blast wave but by the time I kill the rest 2 with guns it's more than 5 sec. You can't even herd them together, they always give up chase after 2 sec.
I got it very soon after I found the lazer. Came as a surprise for me as I had absolutely no clue what I've done.
What does that have to do with anything? Why even bring it up? People of all faiths/sexes/races/cats-n-dogs-living-together-mass-hysteria can enjoy this. Now hurry up with the sequel or an "update" that brings in DLC sector maps!
It's actually on New and Noteworthy now, as well as Hot New Games on the device App Store. About time...!
Yep, I just came here to post that it is up in the New and Noteworthy on iTunes but someone beat me to it. (not that I had any doubt that it would appear).
Congratulations Venan!!! I hope this gets you lots and lots of sales! Now get back to work on that RPG and SM2. We are waiting here
YES! Finally! Congratulations to the Venan Team! I think that the big bucks will roll now because there will be a greater recognition and the poor devs get their pinball machine soon! Luckily, you have 167 5-star-ratings (and only a few of less rating) in the US AppStore... so most casual gamer will buy it. More over - Space Miner is featured in every AppStore worldwide on the second place - next to PvZ! That will surely bring a lot of recognition. That's very good news. Plants vs. Zombies is featured on place one, btw...
I picked this one up earlier today, and it's excellent. Great gameplay mechanics, really addicting, lots of upgrades and hilarious dialogue. You guys nailed this one. I wish it was a little cheaper, but considering the overall production value, the asking price is certainly understandable.
