Albie, it's nice to hear from you, even if it's all too rarely.

    Yeah no kidding.

I haven't seen 5 stars on the Albie Meter in a while. I really want this game. I may break down later in a fit of shopaholism.

    (Damned shopahol!!!)

This game is amazing. I wouldn't class it as an RPG in nearly any form though.

Part asteroids, part star control, part elite.

I wish there were more weapons/gadgets/ship types (like ability to install guns facing sideways/rear etc.), but it's great value for what it is. This is one of those games that legitimises the iPhone as a full gaming platform.

I'd have to leave the disclosure of future updates/content to Venan (aka Brandon, Big B, Head Honcho, etc.) but I can tell you for sure that a few of us are still on Space Miner full time. :D

Well - a thing that's absolutely rare: you already got 9 5-star-ratings and 6 5-star-reviews in the German AppStore. No rating from 1 - 4 stars. Everyone loves it!

    Us AppStore: 61 5-star-ratings, 1 4-star-rating, 1 3-star-rating!

Sounds great! How about little sneak peak into their offices and look at their concepts? ;)

And what is your function at Venan Arcade?

Btw., we just love it on TA, when the devs are caring for us and when they have a good time hanging around on these forums and talking with us.
There are a lot of devs around here. :)

If you look at our youtube channel you might find some videos of our company. ;) There's also footage of Space Miner from like 6 months or so ago. But I'll let you find that haha.

I'm a programmer at Venan. You guys all seem pretty cool, so I thought what the hell, I'll talk to you guys haha. We already talked about some of the feedback you guys have and will address them soon. :) So keep them coming!

Absolutely THE most addictive game I have played on the app store. I don't usually play my iPhone at home but here I am sat in front of my 60" screen with my xbox turned on...but my controller is on the table and I am sat holding my iphone frantically playing Space Miner, can't put it down!!!

I'd honestly be made up if multiplayer was introduced to Space Miner. Here's my idea of how it should be done:
Within the space of 5 minutes, each team (There are 2 teams of 4 players each) has to collect as much value of ore as possible. Of course you can blow eachother to smitherines, but that's not the main target.
Or, the same as above but, instead of a time limit you have to collect as much ore as possible before it's all gone.
So, you win matches and you gain money to spend in a different shop where there is all sorts of different items. More hulls, engines, collectors etc etc

This would be the cherry on top in my opinion, and would love to see it in a future update.

Please increase the size of the sector map, more upgrades and possibly try to create 'episodes' that extend the story. ;)

Glad to see more developer interaction here at TA, we definitely appreciate you guys interacting with the community.

I can't find anything about You on the YouTube. Also, no "Space Miner" early footage. Or maybe You mean that short, 0:54 video? :)

Thanks. I have seen them before, when I was looking for mire information about "Space Miner"...
This game looked not that different those days - only control scheme and icons symbolizing it are nit similar.

I too would like to say that it's great having the dev's interaction here at TA. Certainly makes the developer, and the game, more appealing.

I really love to go slow with this game. I'm now 3 hours into it and rank 6, but really don't wanna leave one dime out. So, this will still take a while. And I LOVE it sooooo much. At the moment, early independent game of the year 2010. Perfect. Just perfect. (besides the icon) ;)
