See my latest post and if you enjoy these aspect from a game, check any 2 of them, I suggest get it a. Exploration (with percentages of course ) b. Upgrading weapons/armors (Appearance also changing) c. FUNNY dialogues and scripts! d. Shooting asteroids e. Loves sci fi related games f. Like/ever played and liked EVE (MMORPG) g. Achievements! h. Compulsive need to gather everything and, tiny "i", want to support indie dev (I'm assuming).. Can't praise this game enough.. really on my top 3 list easy.. Buy, play for 1 hour (it's what it takes to love this game ), then have a good night sleep... (if you can put it down..) Cheers, Tora
Love this thread, the game is so good even griefing trolls can't bring themselves to spoil the party. And that's the way it should be. What a fantastic game this is; whenever people call me when I'm playing they always end up asking something along the lines of "Is everything ok mate?" because of the frosty reception they get for interrupting my mining! I agree with an earlier poster who said they want to see what Venan can do next but at the same time I'd happily drop a few extra quid on some DLC that provided more sectors/missions/equipment. Nice work Venan; keep it up.
Friends, thanks to Your ratings and reviews, "Space Miner: Space Ore Bust" hit third (3rd) place on "Top Paid Apps" list at US AppStore! Keep them coming!
Hell, are you serious? Didn't you read the thread? Read the AppStore ratings? Seen the trailers and screenshots? What else do you want? Its lousy 5 bucks for an unique experience! Well, I guess you should go and eat one burger at the same price. Over 100 people said that it is fantastic. And you still need proof?
MAN! I'M EVEN MORE ANNOYED NOW! i just relised that after you finished the game and go on hardcore, you can keep all your items! but i restarted!
It depends. You can beat the game in 4 hours, but it is without exploring all sectors, discovering all secrets and finding all items. With those features: You can play 8 hours at least.
This sounds like a game my 10-year old son really would enjoy but he's German and unfortunately his English hasn't progressed yet beyond "The House that Jack Built". Could someone please tell me if he could play it even without understanding the dialogue?
Depends on your style of gaming... Fast through: 4-6 hours in normal mode. Normal play: 6-8 hours. Exploring everything: 10-12 hours in normal mode.
Game Impressions This game is so much fun and definitely worth $5 (or more for that matter). There is a nice depth of content and it's just fun to play! I love the characters, the missions are unexpected and fun, the music and effects and top notch. I find myself looking forward to getting back into space and minin' more asteroids . Love this game... it's a true app store gem.
While we did try to make the gameplay as streamlined as possible, there is a lot of text in the game - cutscenes, mission instructions, tutorials, help text, etc. Don't worry, though - we plan to have German translations included in a future update
"Caution, this sector is full of HVA." "Hipster Vampire Affection?" -classic. troublewithtribbles- he will have a blast playing, but wont be able to read the dialog (which is awesome) but he should be able to make his way through the game with no problem. As for the time playing, I have 6hrs4mins30seconds and have 42.5% mined. I've been going sector to sector radiating outward from base getting 100% in each though, not just trying to get through the game. So if you do everything, then go to hardcore mode and get all the alien tech, you can easily have more than 10hrs played. DEVS, if you plan on coming out with any updates (not really necessary) I would suggest these small ones: -ability to play own music -ability to flip the screen so the headphone jack isn't as awkward. sound is so important in this game and it gets in some users way. That's really all I would add. Unless you just want to go all out and have the game randomly generate asteroids and enemies for an unlimited survival mode after you beat hardcore mode. Also, anyone know what the weapon is on the video where everything on screen gets blown up in a radiating explosion? And the second fire button? I have the Battle Warship, Starcore II, Blastmaster II, Hyperflash II, and I still only have one fire button in-game, and no mass damage weapon. Is this an alien tech weapon?
At the main shop menu there is a sell button at the bottom. If you have anything that can be sold the button will be red, if not it is grey.
Not sure about how hard it will be (it's hard for me since I know the game inside and out). But I did want to mention we are working now to get the game localized, and we're aiming to have that in for our first update in 2-3 weeks.
You've nailed it. We've seen our share of games that set impressive goals and fall short for one reason or another. We've also seen many brilliantly executed but modest games. A game with this level of ambition and execution is a rare and wonderful thing.
