Man.. I'm at the crossroads of wanting to buy it or not. I've never played it so I can't judge but the trailers / review videos didn't seem to be too impressive just from watching a minute of gameplay. But GOTY and all these compliments makes me think that there's something I'm missing.
In the exact same boat. Have watched gameplay vids and I just don't get what is giving this so much hype.
Beat the game 3 years ago, saw the update and re-downloaded it. Started playing it again tonight and brings back fun times ... One of my favorite iOS games ever!!!
Buy it!! This game to me is as Mario/zelda is to NES as this is to iOS... It's that dam good! It's without a doubt the best game I've played on any phone. I've played dead space, all the FPSers, all the major RPGs, all the DSS... Nothing comes close to this game. It has mini games inside the main game that become so addicting in trying to capture the most money with sick chains. Great combat, awesome upgradability, different hulls for different plays styles, different weapons, radars... Boss battles, fun story.... It's the best 4.00 you will spend in your life... You drop 4 bucks daily on random BS in your life that if your lucky will give 30 minutes of enjoyment... This will easily give you hours and hours and hours... It's my 4th complete play through.
Anyone else not getting achievement credit in game center for that their doing in game? I see the yellow bar achievement notifications in game, but their not clearing in game center. I've also noticed that opening game center while in game via your personal quarters or the main screen locks the game up.
For me this is the best ios game ever For me this is the best ios game ever. I fell in love with gaming on my phone thanks to spaceminer. I wish i could give you guys money for this update!! Its also the only game that is still on my iphone for all those years Thanks Venan and ill be playing this untill the sequel comes out.

Yeah, the game's just spectacular. Anyone reading this shouldn't be on the fence. Back in the day it was a crime not to have Space Miner on your phone, and it honestly puts a smile on my face to say that in 2015, Space Miner STILL deserves that permanent place on your phone. Hell, I too would've paid for an updated version...and I can't stress how amazing Venan Entertainment are; they could've easily turned this into a F2P title to breathe new life into it, but instead added more content, turned the game universal, ironed out bugs, brought this up to modern App Store standards...all for free for existing users. Cannot commend these guys enough for their hard, exceptional work.
Yes it's not great on an iPad Air either. It looks fine on an iPhone 5S, but it doesn't look like it's at "iPad retina" resolution on iPad Air? Still a great game though.
What MC said. ^^ Also, reading through the beginning of this thread makes me feel both happy and sad. I'm looking forward to playing thorough Space Miner again, cheers.
