I don't like the time based missions. Never have liked timers in games. I've beaten the mission plenty of times but just not the timer. Stupid and frustrating as bad as a paywall.
Skill wall = pay wall? Just bring your highest dps weapons into the mission. Assault rifles, shotguns, grenades. Rush to the skull icons.
If I would have known there are time based missions I would have not bought the game. Especially beacuse you need to complete these missions to be able to continue. Reward should be something extra not something necessary to continue. I have Armach AMR 7, but don't have any other than basic secondary weapon (never choose it as reward because it is not my kind of style). In 10 minutes I managed to complete little more than half so it will be almost impossible to complete and therefore gain the weapon I need to continue. I have all non timed missions 5/5 and timed 4/5 anf I still have to play with level 2 sniper rifle.
This game is great. If you don't have the weapons, you can replay previous levels and choose different rewards. I've enjoyed it so much i went back and unlocked everything.
Aerys, don't get overdramatic. It's not mandatory to finish those stages in 4 or 10 minutes to be able to continue. It's clearly stated on the starting screen, e.g. Gnarly Trail Ranch says: Complete under 10 minutes for full T.A.M.I. grade or under 18 minutes for half grade. Trust me, I hate timers in games more than a freemium model (well, not more, let's say equal), but these too exceptions are nothing terrible to swallow. The 4 minutes stage took me more attempts than 10 minutes one. But with a correct weaponry it's easily doable, you just need to keep trying. The most difficult one for me was the stage called The Cannibal, but I wanted that 5-star rating assault rifle really really much Just don't give up, this game deserves a few more attempts to beat it.
Which mission should I replay to get good secondary weapon? Canibal was not so hard, made it in first try with 5 stars, one before took me multiple tries to complete, one big guy next to a sniper guy, always killed me.
The description clearly says retina resolution but the app store screenshots are terrible low res.Maybe the dev should change them.
Such a fantastic game I didn't even know what a dual shooter was until I tried this game. Fantastic execution and theme. Loving it. As a data point, I am also playing Seabeard and Hearthstone.
Same here. I've played the mission like 15 times and complete it just not in the required time and am stuck and can't progress. This is a major design flaw in this game. Unneeded and uncalled for. I was enjoying it until then. What were the devs thinking? They should have only included the timer for special prizes not to progress. Very frustrating game. Agree with you 100%.
Anyone would be an idiot to pass on this game especially since one person says they are stuck? What about everyone else that didn't get stuck. If you get stuck, change your weapons and tactics and try again. In speed level or when I go back to farm I use fast fire weapons and don't bother with stealth, like the Uzi and fast shooting shotgun you can wipe the floor with everyone without being too sneaky.
The next mission only unfolded after I had collected all 25/25 clues. So I played the last chapter. Geez it's a short game only bought it yesterday but there's a lot of replay value to try and get all weapons and complete every mission 100% so I'm happy I bought it. Even though one mission was very frustrating I still reckon it's a must buy. I will be buying the next chapter definitely but I hope they keep timed missions to a minimum or only add it in a hard mode or something.
Aye as I go along I reply each mission to 100% before moving on. I too would definitely get more chapters and hope they add an endless/survival mode too.
Well now I'm stuck at "Pulling the face" beacuse of the lack of weapons for not completing timed missions with 5 stars. Some of you just don't understand that some players hate rush style of play and they suck at it. When I try playing with fast firing weapons I deplete my ammo in no time. It is ok if that kind of missions offer some special reward like special looking outfit or something like that, but it is not ok if you must complete them with 5 stars to earn a weapon which is crucial for continuing the game. I completed "Pulling the face" without any deaths until finding Blackburn and escorting him out. It is (almost) impossible with weapon I currently have (Atere Incal S5 Ltd), but I don's have access to better weapons beacuse of timed missions (which I completed with "only" 4 stars).
Aerys, when escorting Blackburn, I'm using grenades mostly. In my first attempt I was lucky enough to blow up the whole incoming group with just one grenade. Anyway, there's a lot of pillars and walls you can hide behind, perhaps the shotgun with its close range combat style could be a good choice to your assistance? I don't know, first you're complaining about the timed stages, next you're complaining about lack of weapons. A lot of us finished the game on 100% with or without any hiccups, it's more than possible. You just need to find your style and try different approach, it's really not that hard (and I'm just casual player, I'm complaining about Hero Emblems difficulty in different thread much more than you do here). But the fact is, in most cases, it's not a game's fault...
Well said macplash. I am finding certain stages difficult, trying to do the 4 minute level which I know can do but I keep dieing on the last 'heavy' or whatever they are called. I have gone on and done a few other levels, and then come back and tried again etc. I guess I haven't got far enough yet to come to a level where I 'need' a specifc gun. As others have said just try a different tactic, you can still do the 4 minute one without run and gunning...
I never said it is not possible but lack of weapons and timed events are connetcted, at least in my case. I prefer weapons for stealth style of play and the best two pieces are only avaliabke in timed missions. I have a level 3 assault rifle but have no use for it. I'm just frustrated because it is a great game and have loved playing it.
Level 3 Assault Rifle is awesome and it's the best choice for the last stage if you don't have the one from previous stage. What else would you like? Rocket launcher? As I said, I was using sniper rifle only with silenced pistol as secondary weapon and tomahawk for stealth. But the moment I got my hands on assault rifle I changed my approach completely. And it's even more fun than stealth. I wish there was an option to dodge or roll over, it'd be even more frantic
