//Don't worry; despite the game being free, it now has iAds, so a portion of the proceeds from them will still go to food allergy research. Space Laser Race™ is the first-ever space simulator game developed by a 13-year-old and is available for free on the App Store. The young developer is dedicating a portion of his proceeds from the ad impressions of his game to food allergy research. Ever wish you could spacewalk like an astronaut, with only a jet pack to propel you in zero gravity? Now you can, virtually. In this unique and challenging game, you race through space while racing against time to align your laser onto a target. Dual sliders simulate double joysticks astronauts use to maneuver through space. A radar at the top of the screen provides directional point of reference. Space Laser Race™, a universal game which operates on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, offers two modes, Timed and Survival, each with three difficulty levels. It also has high resolution graphics for the Retina Display on iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4. Plus, when run on iPad, an extra split-screen multiplayer mode allows two players to compete to see who will be the fastest to race to each target. Space Laser Race™ is OpenFeint-enabled with 6 leaderboards and 36 achievements. Millions of children and adults around the world suffer from potentially life-threatening food allergies, including the 13 year old developer of Space Laser Race™. His motivation for creating the game was to help find a way to prevent or cure food allergies. EDIT: The price change is still propagating. EDIT2: The app is now free. It looks pretty nice! For the previous comment, maybe you could add an in-app purchase to remove the ads? That would still give you and the food allergy charity money while making the people who actually are willing to pay for the game happy. On a side note, I'm also 13 years old. EDIT: Also, people who previously bought the game don't have ads. @DrPixel Thanks for downloading, and an In-App Purchase will be coming soon in an update. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
