I like the core gameplay, but it's been a long time since I've used on screen action controls, and they are taking some getting used to. Jump, dash, hit - ok. Workable. But add in a hit up and hit down and that's quite a bit. Add in TINY BUTTONS for offensive and defensive skills and things get messy. I am sure this is better with controller. I am enjoying this; probably played... 5 run-throughs? RNG seemed to play quite a part in the most successful run, with an alien arm that does 20 damage (vs 8 on standard potato) one- or two-shotting a great many enemies including in end-of-level arenas. The stats feel quite skimped compared to e.g. brotato (which is obviously a ridiculous game). Roster of characters, likewise. I'm unsure if it saves if you pull out of a game mid-level; I did so on the tutorial and it wiped, perhaps that's why I didn't get a full explanation of all functions. (I could replay, who replays tutorials tho). There's a good bit of roguelike action. Some good map generation (though understanding this was one of the things I did not have explained!) Using screen controls you need to enable that disability support - what's it called? Anyway. The thing that removes the 'swipe up to close app' button. Otherwise you'll be closing the app regularly. I really do like the core game. There's some good battling, some good variability between runs. Screen controls, not a huge fan of atm. Perhaps I'll readjust. It's been a while since I saw anything action-y that felt worth playing on iOS. Anotherkellydown likes this. Quoad Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 1,108 217 63 #10 Quoad, Jul 2, 2024 I’ve stopped playing it bc the screen controls do my nut in. I haven’t refunded, I sort of hope they’ll fix it, but it’s a bit grim. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
