Seems like an interesting game. But runs like absolute crap. (At least on an iPhone X) Unless you have a latest device, don't bother with this. Play it on some other platform when it releases there. Resubscribed to Apple Arcade just to play this. Learnt my lesson. Done with Apple Arcade for good. Absolute waste of money. Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #5 Stronsay, Oct 30, 2020 Sorry you’re unable to see this. Hopefully just a device specific problem that will be fixed in an update. It runs fine on iPad Air 2 which is far from the latest device. I’m not sure it’s a game though, more interactive story, but who cares? The narrative and the production is riveting from the start, made convincing by motion capture and a well researched script voiced by top actors. Hard to tear myself away from watching. Rocksaint Well-Known Member Nov 29, 2013 666 367 63 #6 Rocksaint, Oct 30, 2020 Alright. That’s good to hear. Probably just my device then. It’s a great game no doubt. The artwork is unique, story is great and love the transitions. Worth experiencing. (Although I found the interactions confusing - not sure how they impact the narrative) Coming to the performance. This isn’t the first Apple Arcade game that struggles and surely won’t be last. Thought Apple would have solved it by now but it just seems like a marketing strategy to lure people into buying the more newer devices. Pretty shady if you ask me. Anyway, if it runs well on your device, do play this. Especially if you like story-driven games. It’s a pretty unique experience. agreen437 Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2014 1,702 222 63 #7 agreen437, Oct 30, 2020 I also have an iPad Pro 2nd generation 2017 but am waiting because I don’t know how the graphics are on this device anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 704 113 #8 anthony78, Oct 30, 2020 Runs pretty well on my iPhone 11. Also: This. Game. Is. Incredible! Rocco SE Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2020 267 258 63 Male Modern Mime Artist Austria https://silentrocco.net #11 Rocco SE, Nov 2, 2020 While there is not much to do in terms of gameplay, the storytelling is one of the best I‘ve ever seen in a mobile game. Seriously, this is competing with the best films and shows out there. Nuanced, dramatic, beautiful. I was hoping for a Kentucky Route Zero type interactive experience, but this does not even compare in any way. As a game, the interaction is really bad, controls to move the figure feel disconnected. And at far too many places it is required to hold down a slowly charging button just to continue, really breaking the flow. In the rare occurrences that there is actually a choice to be made, it really does not seem to have much of an impact on the story. As a movie, the motion captured animations are indeed nice, but could have been tweaked to avoid weird distracting collisions/intersections of held objects. But the worst thing is the overactive camera/viewpoint, it breaks shots that could have been excellent by standing still. Definitely no oscar for cinematography.
