^You have to have the lights turned off on the right and on at the left. He won't be able to reincarnate that way.
Ahh thanks for that. I thought they said he couldn't be beaten in darkness so you need the lights on? Anyhow I did what you said and just fought Wisps on the top level and it said the boss wasn't there. So what comes after exactly? Do I go back and turn the lights on after?
It seems that the boss won't show up if the left lights are off, or both sets of lights for that matter. If both lights are on, he reincarnates. You still have to go on the left path and pull the switch at the end. What I did specifically was clear the whole dungeon with the lights off THEN I went back and turned the left lights on and returned to the boss room.
Okay I got it. I cleared the boss area with the lights off, then turned them back on and went back and defeated the boss without much trouble. However I'm stuck again. There's ANOTHER boss after him in the next room. After a huge struggle I killed him and then I continue on and it says DEAD END. And there's no where else to go. And you locked into this area of the dungeon. I went back, pulled the lever to open the boss room, went to all the side areas, absolutely nothing. I can't go back to the beginning of the tower since the passage is blocked. Man, I really hate this dungeon. Was loving the game up until this point. With how complex this is, I feel like a map is necessary. And even then, they're barely giving any hints. Now it says dead end and I don't know what to do. Even if I tried to kill my party, I'd have to do the whole thing all over again. I think the main thing that makes this game hard is you can't easily gain experience. I can fight 40 battles in this tower, lose, and get 100 xp only. It's pretty unfair. I guess they wanted it to be old school but I'm losing a sense of direction in this really long "puzzle" dungeon. I can't find a good way to grind unless you keep redoing the cheap repeatable missions and failing to get the fail xp. Edit: Okay finally found a way out. Weird I thought I went through everything. I don't even know how I got out. I guess the map is making me confused. I guess I'll have to go do the repeat missions and keep killing myself. I don't see any other way to make this easier. It's been about 4-5 hours of playtime and I'm ONLY level 6.
I don't recall there being another boss in that mission. I will say though that things get a bit more labrynthine later, so you have that to look forward to. Leveling does slow down quite a bit as well. I don't know what the verdict is on player characters, but I'd be interested to know if you get anyone called Fjalar in your party, because that's me.
Yeah I fought another boss like a griffon? The party said it was significantly stronger than the other monsters (which it was). I'll let you know if I see you! I'm using Arturia. I noticed I have no "likes" on my character but 90% of the people added to my party have at least one like. Interesting. I'm still trying to figure out a better way to level. I feel like balancing is a bit off. I do enjoy the challenge but in my state, there's a 30% chance of my party being wiped by a random monster that isn't a boss. I can fight hundreds of them but at the end of the day, you only get XP for beating a mission which I find unfair.
Has anyone else (in Australia) notice that it isn't on the app store? Only "LongRangeBullet EN" shows up for Qualiasoft. Would love to purchase this game.
Not sure why but you can probably make a USA account or whoever sells and then try downloading the free version while you wait. === On another note, I think I'm going to call this quits for now. It's still a great game but as a person who has played old school RPGs to many of the newest ones, I think the game is on the extreme difficulty side. I can still power through it but I feel like my "grind" isn't getting anywhere since I'm pretty much stuck on lower character levels (and you need luck or good skills often to beat a dungeon since you're stuck with what you have). With the amount of time I've put in, compared to other RPGs I should be breezing through it. I feel like this gimmick was made specifically to keep your levels low to make the game harder. It sounds great in theory but it's lacking since skills and party members are completely random. Even buying equipment won't help you since you often will not have the EP to put on all the best gear. I love the mechanics and the interactive elements (seeing in the darkness, cooking, etc) but I feel like it's nearly a chore to fight because my character is so weak. I hope they update it with an easier mode or some other kind of compensation. I highly doubt it since the entire official page is in Japanese. I sent a mail about their icon name not fitting and haven't gotten a response either.
I don't know how to "like" a party member actually. My character is level 8, so until you're 7 I don't think you'd encounter him; it seems like companions are always within one level of your character. I think the dramatic slowdown in levels is intentional considering the skill selection. I have a reasonable selection of active skills and have most of the passive event skills at this point. You do get experience for failing missions too. I was doing the catacombs over and over again for awhile and I'd got it down to 5-10 minutes most of the time, although I don't think the game really wants it to be easy to level up. The last mission I did gave 1500 xp I think.
Click someone's character and tap the [...] next to the heart under their stats Alright, so I've been enjoying this game so far but I'm now stuck. I'm at a point where there are 6 quests available from the inn (volcano, lakebed, warlock, forest of shadows, mine, and catacombs) but nothing happens/unlocks when I finish any of them. Unless there's some secret I'm missing in one of them, the only thing I haven't done is Spoiler Defeated the red dragon in the heart of the volcano. I've finished his trial multiple times and finished the quest but actually beating him seems impossible. If anyone has made it passed this point (if you're level 10+ then you probably have) and knows something I don't, I'd love to progress. Oh, and if anyone partys up with Alice, thanks for taking me on your adventures
I've been playing this for a whole day on-off and it's very good indeed. Lots of custom dialogue based on characters latent abilities and decision making on the part of the player. Offline and story driven rpg games that arnt Kemco-bad are few and far between and this is the first one to really scratch that itch since I finished Attack the Light. Thumbs up
I really like the game, only thing I would say about it is that the leveling get painful when you get to 9+ range. I'm at the same point as Cytrix4 so the only thing I can do is try to farm Volcano or Lake Bed, I do Volcano more as Lake Bed is mostly fail from the random groups. If there was a way to have a bit more control on who ends up on your team because you can't change anything on the party members and I've had a match up for Lake Bed with 3 clerics. All of them had their healing spells/skills as favorite and didn't have really any dmg skills so yeah that Lake Bed didn't go very well. Also maybe if the AI can't spam paralyze/sleep/stun/cleave cause when they do it's a guaranteed loss unless you are extremely lucky which is my main frustration with the game. Edit: PS if you see Biast, ty for taking her on your adventure and try to not get her KOed too much =P
Yeah I agree. The game is made to keep it difficult but the balancing is way off. You shouldn't be in constant danger of dying from random enemies. Maybe we should email the dev and ask about another difficulty mode.
I kinda like the game. I don't understand all these party things your saying? Like the people come from online? Then how does it make a party when I play the whole game on airplane mode? Haha I am confused. It's a silly game but fun! I enjoy it. It is crazy in the sense that some ppl are super week and other super strong
The game has some built-in party members that it throws into the mix for more variety and for offline play Still haven't figured out what to do next. Don't particularly want to run Volcano 8 more times to level up either.
Almost to lvl 11 myself just need 2-3 more runs; I hope that a new quest shows up when I level up. I have seen some characters with some cool armor and I wonder how they got the pieces for them. At the moment I have 1 piece of darknight armor but no idea how to get more nor how many pieces are needed to make it.
Small chance unidentified ore is actually a piece of a special armor. Don't know exactly how many are needed but it's at least 3. As for the game, did a lot of experimentation looking for what I was supposed to be doing and leveled up in the progress (10). Still nothing new; still have a few ideas though
If you were pre 10 then i know that one of the story quests you start it after finishing a quest. When you gather at the end you can leave tavern before exp and stuff. You leave and it will start another sequence. Not sure if you already did that part, there is another that you start by using form group option when talking to the quest guy. After you form group you go to a locatiob to start but dont remember the location.
I believe those are pre-volcano. I think we're at the same point for now As for experimenting, nothing did anything. I thought the ceremonial armor/sword might do something somewhere but I couldn't get a reaction. Edit: Game glitched out on me and forced me to restore from a transfer. Lost hours of grinding in the process; I think I'm done for now, at least until someone figures out how the game works
