I don't think there's any way I can keep my hands off this after flicking through the video a second time.

I'd like to see some new iPad screens though... Sanuku, are you out there? :p

So far just Sorcery, Paper Titans and Star Command, but I have pretty good faith in all of them being worthwhile purchases.

So from what the guy in the vid was saying, is this just Sorcery! part one of four? Or is the game made of four parts. Didn't quite understand :s

I really hope they sell billions of this one, or at least enough to warrant the completion of the cycle.

Gosh I can't wait for tomorrow morning.

EDIT: posted at the same time: I think this is "only" the first volume.

Well the sorcery series of books is four separate books that you can read all in order or individually, and from what I gather this is book one. But yes it's a complete game.

The original series had 4 books. This is part 1, so ideally we'll get another game soon (part 2) or perhaps an IAP ? I presume it'll be seperate as it'll probably be quite a large game filesize wise.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Fighting_Fantasy_gamebooks#Steve_Jackson.27s_Sorcery.21

(Recently sold the whole series on ebay a few months back)

I loved the second one (where you enter a huge city - Khare), but the whole series of 4 books should be amazing if this is anything to go by.

We don't actually know everything that will be released. There are always surprises in the appstore.

Wait...are saying my copy may be worth something? Doubt it; I was a kid, it's in rough shape.

Anyway, as you can see from the screenshot I posted, it was a series of books; this app is the ios equivalent of the book image I posted.

I'm looking forward to seeing the whole collection materialise, although I do have a sneaking suspicion that they'll alter the part in the last book where you can get sent back in time to points in the previous books (literally, you have to return to particular entries in earlier books and continue from there, potentially restarting your entire journey over if you're unlucky enough).

Well due to an expensive house move i downsized a lot with my 'boys toys' ! I had 59 books (full set) of Fighting Fantasy, 'some' of them went for silly prices, 4 books went for £120 !

The Sorcery set if i remember went for about 40 pounds, the spellbook was apparently the 'rare' book the guy wanted with the collection.

Again for a kid growing up in the 80's seeing this classic Sorcery app arrive is brilliant, cant wait till midnight !!
