Thank for the answer. Proceding with the game (and reading a bit this topic), I'm getting the impression I've misseds\skipped various importants things during my playtroughts of Sorcery! 1-3. is somewhere a comprehensive walk-trough\guide which details all possible choices and outcomes?
So you found the Spoiler tower already destroyed and smashed the beacon, correct? I have not tried that and I would like to hear how the story ends!
Ahhh not unless you carry it forward from S3. However Spoiler you don't need it for every place you could use it you will have an alternative.
Yes if you import a save from the previous game. Yet to discover what it does. In the books it was an almost crucial item. Less so in the game apparently.
It has a slight effect on the Archmage, but doesn't seem to have an impact on the game otherwise. Spoiler The beacon is extending his life. If you destroy it he will be visibly older when you encounter him, and will mention the beacon.
If you're asking about previous games, check out this site and this site. There's also a comprehensive Google doc for Sorcery! 3 here. As for S4, I wouldn't expect anyone to have a walkthrough ready for a while, but keep an eye on the sites above.
I believe it can be used to fight Spoiler the Sleepless Ram , to open Spoiler the Library door if you do not know the proper knock , and to escape Spoiler the BIG tower . But there are other solutions to all these situations.
You do not have to be male. If you met her in S3 and did not scare her off by taking her to Fenestra: Spoiler 1. Go to the Tower of Doors and open a few at random. You will see a forest scene and hear singing. She will come through the door but disappear into another one that leads to a house with flowers. 2. The house with flowers is in the alleys to the east of the city. Visit it, get discovered by the owner, talk to her, and you will see Aliizi just as you leave (she has a new name now). 3. She will visit you the next time you sleep and tell you she can help you in the Archmage's tower. 4. She will appear once you've passed the Throben Doors, and will accompany you to meet the Archmage, opening the Library door along the way. I'll leave it up to you to discover if your wished-for scenario plays out. My own wish (which did not come true) was that Spoiler she could help you free Jann without having to die once. She does tell you there's a Minimite in the cell, and you can talk to him, but not free him.
Once you learn the three spells (see previous posts in this thread), you can cast them in any order to free him. The potion is just a quicker way. And you can use the potion yourself Spoiler if you go to confront the Archmage alone .
You get credit at the end of the game for finding five hidden spells. Three of them are the ones you mentioned. The other two you would have learned in S3.
You can trade something from S3 for the cutlass: Spoiler the gems from the well. Visit the peddler first, ask if he buys gems (he will refuse), then ask who might take them. You can also obtain a cutlass Spoiler if you let Ranii get killed by the trap in the final Vault room.
Since we're dealing with time travel, my thought is that they were always destroyed, but whether you were the one responsible for that depends on whether you used the beacons. If you read the text at the beginning when you start from a no-beacon cloud save, it implies the Archmage did it out of paranoia.
Alternately, if you talk to the leader of the Hoofborn and promise to kill the Archmage, she will give it to you for free when you are exiting the village. (There are ways to piss them off, so make sure you opt for the 'good' dialog options)
In addition to the hourglass, there is another way to have Throben's curse removed... Spoiler If Yb'ran is your god, he will offer to remove it after you defeat the Archmage. But you must go to the top of the tower and wave the Crown (if you have it) or your sword. If you have met Cartoum and go down to see him in the yard, Yb'ran will not intervene.
Damn, I never noticed that Spoiler Yb'ran / Bryan joke before! Moving on... This is lifted verbatim from the Sorcery! 3 Guide: Spoiler You can become a follower of YbRan by visiting the island just north of the Time Serpents island, in the past time. You will come across a sacred ground where an offering can be made. Courga, if you are his follower, will mention YbRan at this point. To become a follower, interact with the idol, then say I do when prompted. Choose to offer nothing, then continue saying I do until he becomes your god. YbRans only interactions (complaints about how insignificant your are, mostly) are at the following locations: A. The location where you encounter the roach pig. B. On the northern shore of Lake Ilklala. C. In the ruins of Tinpang. D. On the southern shore of Lake Ilklala, near the statues. E. On the shore of any island in Lake Ilklala. F. In any location where the story gives a brief summary of the state of your journey. After 5 of these complaints, YbRan will leave you. Note that as long as you make sure he doesnt complain 5 times, he will stay with you until the end, and on into the next game.
On the island in S3 where you find the shrine: Spoiler Make an offering Offer nothing Say "I do" in response to every question You should do this shortly before finishing the game, or he will get irritated with you and leave. ETA: Looks like Sorceress beat me to it in more detailed form. I should add that Spoiler Yb'ran is an amusing presence throughout S4.
In addition to the invisible tower, you can get one Spoiler from a black elf at the inn. He will pick a fight with you if you're dressed as a guard; he won't if you're in merchant disguise. If you're in monk disguise I'm not sure how he reacts.
As well as Kaboobie's location, visit the Spoiler Hoofborn village and trade there. (If you don't have enough money to buy it however you'll never see the option.)
Someone said something about a Lonely Planet Guide to Mampang? Guessing this isn't it. https://www.lonelyplanet.com/indonesia/jakarta/mampang Where can I find the real guide?
