You know where Bria's hut is? Before you visit Shadrack, go up that hill in the current time. You will have to confront a Rock Demon, and after that you can access the site of the grave.
Game Plus Doing a Game + playthrough with no rewinds, here are some differences I have noticed so far, including some discussed above by others: Spoiler Sorcery 1 1. Cannot start with your spellbook 2. Jewel-studded Medallion available for beating the Sightmaster Sergeant in a training match (not sure but do you have to do it perfect?) Max Stam 18 instead of 20 at the end 3. Ring of Green Metal available from Goblin in the Schanker Mines 4. Skullcap available in Cantopani (make sure you only pay 1 gold) Sorcery 2 1. Can ZIP to the gardens from the stone house in the barrens Sorcery 3 1. No Stamina gain from Ca-Oth since I cannot rewind 2. DOZ no longer works on the merchant in the Dark Elf caravan 3. Prices at the caravan seem significantly higher 4. Grave of the Invisible Girl dialogue by casting SOB over the grave below Bria's house Just partway through 3 at the moment.
I've been through New Game Plus twice now. One difference is in the starting stats each time. Spoiler Each time you restart Part 1 with an end of game save you get a bigger New Game Plus number and reduced stats to start. I just loaded up New Game Plus 3 and it comes with only 6 gold from the Sightmaster and 4 stamina once you go through the gate! I haven't noticed any differences in Part 4 in New Game Plus except playing on merciless. Spoiler There's no Libra dream as you already are living in a world without rewinds! I've only played through using NBAS runs in Part 3 so there might be some elements of Part 4 I'm missing. My favourite New Game Plus extra, aside from the final secret, is actually back all the way at the start of Part 1: Spoiler Instead of fighting the Sightmaster for the medallion, head straight to the gate and cast ZOB to open it. After much destruction, you will be given the medallion anyway. Don't worry that you don't have a Rock Demon tooth, apparently there is one somewhere nearby!
I'm not playing in merciless mode but I was able to get +1 without rewinding. After I drew my sword, then sheathed it and told the woman Ca-Oth ordered me to kill her, I got the dialogue option "You are a lying god" the first time through. It has always been a function of how much gold you start the game with. Prices were the same for me starting with 20 gold, the maximum you can have with a cloud save to get the lowest prices. Perhaps the higher tiers had their multipliers increased. (Reference: pages 7-8 of the S3 Google Doc)
I don't know what i triggered but I notice a peculiar thing: Spoiler When i tried to haggle for Glandragor's axe, the merchant refused. I rewound, chose other options and he chose to haggle. Can anyone explain? Also Spoiler when you cast ZOB to open the gate the rock demon will destroy the shop in Cantopani.
I discovered that casting SOB Spoiler over Bria's grave doesn't add it to your spellbook; I went out of my way to get the book from Ooloh first so I could check. That's too bad, since you still have to discover/cast it in S4 for it to count toward the 5 spells.
Valiquesh Any clues as to how I can learn more about Valiquesh? I'm assuming that she is the little girl who turns into a Deathwraith in the destroyed inn, but none of the options I found allowed me to open up her story from this point. Thanks
I don't think that's Valiquesh. The point of the flashback with her at the inn is that people stopped there on their way to study at the Citadel. You will find that she did so and rose to great heights. You can learn more and even meet her toward the end of the game with the help of Spoiler a book in the Archmage's study .
Another change (which should not surprise) is that the dialogue with Libra at the caves in Sorcery 1 is different in Game +.
When can I go in the tavern I walked past a tavern in the ally durning the day time, and said it was closed. I came back to the spot at night but the game doesn't even acknowledge that it was even there. Is the tavern a one shot thing or am I just missing something?
Weird effects, Gods, and Garbage Items. I remember hearing somewhere about an opportunity to regrow your hair in either this game or Sorcery! 3. Am I crazy, or does anyone know where you can do it? What's the power threshold for Spoiler falling off the mountain at the start and ruining your arm ? I know it's there to make up for that old exploit with the mystery potion but could it happen if I just maximized my power with legitimate items, like Spoiler taking the potion 4(?) times on time loops, the armband, gauntlets, shirt, and a +4 sword ? Also, does Spoiler turning your teeth into Ape teeth (at the potion house in S3) have any effect in this game, at all? In addition to that stuff, I have a few questions about useless items. Are any of them good for anything here (Specifically S3 and S4)? Big List Of Useless(?) Things---> Spoiler Like The Giant's Net, Theetah's Cane/Badge, a Six-Lobed Leaf, the Pest-Control Spell Page, Noble Sketches, Compass(From either the Gnome Kleptomaniac or the Klattaman Inventor), Fire of Danger, Red Flowers, Fistfuls of Gems, Golden Goblets(From the Temple), the Jeweled Collar, King's Message, Golden Egg, etc. Are any gods other than Yb'ran fun to have here? Like Lorag, the Earth one, Slangg, or whoever else. Oh, and any effects if you have like every weapon? I know you have to decide between a retard armory made of every weapon(Long, Broad, Silver, Analand, Legendary, Chakram, and 4-ish Silver Chains?) vs. the Assassin's Sword and one random other one, but is there any reason to carry more than one, or is it ever mentioned that you're carrying enough weapons to fit out a small militia?
The items listed aren't all useless. Sometimes they just offer alternate ways to do certain things. Spoiler The Giant's Net - use on guard in S2 Redeye jail to help escape Theetah's Cane/Badge - make it easier to get serpent ring from Theetah Six-Lobed Leaf - not useful, but can be eaten on the Time Serpent isle to get an acid-trip vision the Pest-Control Spell Page - get rid of Jann in S1 by giving it to Gaga Moon Noble Sketches - burnable, confirm ID of Nobles Fire of Danger - kill Moon Serpent, use in tunnel for light in S3 Red Flowers - give to Allianah Fistfuls of Gems - convert to jewel studded medallion or trade for best sword in S4 Golden Goblets(From the Temple) - no idea Jeweled Collar - convert to jewel studded medallion or sell for a good chunk of gold at dark elf caravan King's Message - burnable Golden Egg - not sure
Sorry, I was mostly asking about uses in part 4. I have a save where I just hoarded everything. I actually didn't know you could Spoiler give Alianna the Red Flowers , though. That's pretty neat.
Lorag is mostly silent, and I found Slangg and Throff completely useless. Slangg will warn you about entering Naggamanteh's chamber, like most other gods, but IIRC Throff doesn't even do that. Regarding the items listed, I believe the compass can help you in Spoiler the Tower of Doors , and you missed the best weapon, Spoiler the +6 cutlass, for which you can trade the fistful of gems from the weapons dealer. .
I encountered a new permutation of the ending Spoiler where Cartoum takes over the city , though it might have been available all along. If you befriend the guard Majid, let the guards into the city through the old door with the latrine key, and get thrown into a cell later, Spoiler Majid will be in the cell and can help you escape. He then shows up at rhe end with Cartoum, but I think there are some errors in the dialogue that have Cartoum speaking when it should be Majid .
