Oooo thanks for correcting me! Yes I meant the red-eyes. Though I do feel like Spoiler Celestine is going to be somewhere in the series after the final update.
Someone has answered this question in the earlier threads! Actually I managed to get the vault passport from Ranni by casting Spoiler TEL when have the chance. There is another way to get it from Ranii and it is done by casting Spoiler GOD , but it was Spoiler my second time encountering her (yup ZED reset) and with the option of Spoiler 'what is the password of the vault' showing up. There is also a way to get the password, but requires Spoiler holy water . Spoiler You have to spare the life of the female werewolf in the room before entering the final chamber. She will then run into next the room and get herself killed by the poison-gas-trap. That is a rather sad plot, after cast RES on her, she will tell you the password if you answer 'the children got way, I made sure of it.'
I remembered the Spoiler trading post in the village of the goatmen has it! It is in the expensive crate. The other two spells are Spoiler DIM and Spoiler YAZ .
sorry if the question has been answered already, but the spells you want are Spoiler 'dim' and 'yaz', the ones for stupidity and invisibility. if you plan on using the potion, the spells can be found here: Spoiler the dim tower is the first one, with the red roof, in the west college, and invisiblity one is the blank tower right above the crystal dome on east side, as well as the nap one being right beside the crystal dome, with clock noises inside. Spoiler The only place i know for the pendulum is the black elf caravan in S3.
There's more than one meaning in the dictionary, and where exactly does the story establish there is a fireplace in this room ? Respectfully, Brian P.
Spoiler I have never encountered Farren Whyde's body -- does it always appear for you? Is this only after being trapped in the cell with the Minimite? I assume you have to meet him down below and see him carried away by birdmen. As to your second question: Spoiler In the original Sorcery! books, Farren Whyde was the Archmage in disguise. You encounter him twice, and the second time, he transforms into the goat daemon for a final battle with you. The illustration is from the book and so the body in the illustration is that of Farren Whyde. That does not appear to be reflected in the text/plot of the game.
You may be wearing the wrong outfit. Spoiler In my experience, Rani will not be cooperative if you are wearing a guard or captain uniform.
Why does this matter? It's a common British usage, and the existence of a fireplace is established at the time it becomes relevant.
Yes it does. Spoiler I don't think we will have to be trapped with Jann to trigger this, but it is necessary to see birdmen carry him away. Being trapped with the minimite would only add the option of asking him about the goat before entering the study, after the ZED reset. Spoiler Thank you for telling me that and OMG he surely does not look like the man on the book cover at all.
I'm an American, remember, and it's not common usage here. The books are quite easy to follow for the most part, but every once in awhile something like this slips through that leaves non-UK residents -- at least this one -- shaking their heads. In any case, I had a story question and it has been answered. Thank you! Respectfully, Brian P.
Larder of Throg Anyone have probs eating from there, or is the problem eating while there? I've carried provisions from the larder and eaten them throughout the game without consequence. Thx!
Yeah, it was definitely more of a warning about Throg's anger than the food being bad. Also, is there a way to counter the "can't see me here" tower? I'm pretty sure the counter for mAG is Spoiler LAW , but in the tower I can't cast anything. There's obviously no reason to want to do this, but I was curious.
I've had no problems. I think the warning is against entering the larder without permission, rather than against the food itself. Seems a pity we can't go back for ... Filk? Is that her name? Respectfully, Brian P.
Maybe there's a way to end with her as your lover if you start a new game with chapter 4? After all, your brief time with Flik is kinda one of the only overtly romantic/flirty encounters.
I've run through the game multiple times from both could saves and clean starts and never encountered Filk after leaving her in the larder.
Well, one can always hope. It's not like anyone would object to their savior bringing back a Goblin wife, right? ...right?
Sorry this might be a dumb question but can someone give me a detailed guide on how to fill the potion of dissolution. (not sure on spelling) Thanks!.
Stone Dust Free advise for players starting out: Keep at least one (preferably more) measure of Stone Dust until later in the game. You'll need it to access some crucial game content, and the whole of Mampang is remarkably barren of it. I know you can get four uses of it when you Spoiler encounter the Sightmasters , but you'll need at least one to do so (casting ROK) as some others have posted. Otherwise you'll end up roaming the fortess for days on end searching for Stone Dust as I have with nothing to show for it.
You need to visit three towers in the Inner College: Spoiler The first tower you can enter in the western college, where you get confused, represents dIM (counters KID) The northernmost tower in the eastern college, which is invisible, represents YAZ (counters TEL) The tower immediately southeast of the invisible tower, where you hear a ticking sound, represents NAP (counters gOD)
