That's what I thought. I don't know why Agog is not seeing it.

Has anyone ever gotten a rewind point at the
    beggar/ex-healer?
I was just talking to her and I said
"for a healer, you are bloodthirsty"
and then the conversation ends, and I can't go anywhere. The game says 'continue,' but there's nowhere to walk to. I'm able to rewind right there, so I guess it's a bug?

Also, is there a place in book 4 to pick up a crystal orb? The
    hot guy at the bar
    stole mine

    Holy water

I hit a weird glitch this time. I had several vials of holy water from
    the skeleton room
, yet I was not being allowed to cast doc. I went to the Throben doors figuring
the pack would be there, but it wasn't. I just got a, "pour holy water on the door," option. The spell failed and instead of dying, I ended up at the tower with the hot rocks where you're supposed to cast doc.
I think I've been back to the
    skeleton tower
since then and gotten more water, but anyway, I can now cast doc.

Has anyone opted not to destroy the beam in the tower? I didn't this time, so will be interested to see f the Archmage is younger.

The reason you went to the
HOT(fire) tower is 'cause that's the spell on the door, the counter is dOC.
dOC(+heals/cures) requires a blimberry potion, holy water is for REs(resurrection).

I finally finished the game, but...

Firstly, sorry for the long post. So I finally finished the game, but i don't have the ending i like, and i knew i wouldn't, but i at least wanted to have one go through so id know what i needed to do next time. Now I have one single rewind at the end and can take me back anywhere i want to know how far i might need to go to fix some mistakes...so here goes what I need assistance with.

I had the potion of disillusion, which i filled with magic from the dim tower (the first one you can enter in the left side of towers), the invisible tower (the one at the very top of the right side of towers) and the clock tower, just below the previous one mentioned and i realize that was a mistake. I need the final tower and i need to know what the spell inside is, and I already have dim and yaz. I realize with the potion i can save flanker and Jann can save me later from the crowns power, as long as i can get him out of jail, which i can do by getting captured once and then ZED-ing outside again once i die.

Now, I am also trying to break the curse on me, and from what I've read here, the hourglass tower is just beyond the Ram and then the Goblin tower, but i can't get in as it just takes me outside the door again. Can anyone tell me if this tower is the Zed tower, and if it is, does anyone know how to enter this tower and if anything is needed?

If there is something I am doing wrong or should do as well, please tell me. And thank you to anyone who has read this whole thing and can help me.

You're right on the money about the
clock tower. You need dim nap and yaz, which were the first in the west zone, the invisible one, and the clock one.
    If you're trying to
save flanker and Jann, you can use the potion or the sun serpent, if you still have him.
    Use zip
to get in the wacky tower.

thanks, i wasn't sure if the clock tower was right, because
when i gave the potion to flanker, it did nothing and i had to kill him

It should have worked if you had those three spells. You can also cast the spells directly on him.

    If you're trying to
    leave with jann and flanker,
    you can actually
tell jann to go ahead and wait, and you'll be able to just use the spells on flanker. Don't worry if he stops you, just die and give it another shot.

So I've found another way to get to the Archmage's garret at the top of the tower that doesn't require the throben doors.

Go to the invisibility tower in the eastern college with a blond wig. Cast TOP. You can now leap directly into the archmage's garret and give him what for! Of course, in order to do this you need to have a potion of dissolution ready for use, because you won't have access to any of the other options.

And now I have a story question.

I don't think it's a spoiler to acknowledge that, in the wizard's tower, in one of the storylines someone will kick a magically-possessed book into a grate. The text then tells us "there is a half-heard scream".

Now, I'm from the US, so I have to ask.

What exactly is this "grate" of which the author speaks?

Is it some kind of fireplace or hearth that is warming the room? Is the book being burned?

Was it kicked out a window, to land in the courtyard? If so, why can't someone find it and release its prisoner?

Does the grate lead somewhere else, like the library?

What, in short, is a grate?

    respectfully,

    Brian P.

The crystal dome in east college

Has anyone tried to come back to the crystal dome for serval times?
Each time it gives a different vision, but you have to leave and then come back to the dome to receive it

The first time I tried, with the Throben curse still attached, the second vision is the aged Analander siting inside of a tent with his/her lover. The option I chose is to turn around, yet the voice behind me threatened to break my neck if I choose to do so. Did anyone find the option to find out who that person is? The description of their voice does march with those of Flanker's.

If you come back to the dome for about four times, the crystal surface will crack and there is no longer any vision to be seen there. It won't be repaired even if the player rewind to some point before.

I reset the game to prologue just to see what will happen if I touch the dome with the curse removed, but I get the same vision.

Did anyone manage to have some interesting outcomes there?

A list of unsolved mysteries .......

There are characters we encounter in Mampang with one of their eyes missing :
Nylock, the female werewolf in the vault, and Molka
    Is it just a coincident?

    And we can
cast RES on Farren Whyde's body just outside of Archmage's study.
    The conversation is interesting.
    When we encountered the
    archmage goat
    , from the illustration
there is a body behind that monster. Is that Farren Whyde?

From twitter Inkle posted something about
the archmage goat, not denying that it could not be defeated but saying ' it is a goat with supernatural strength'. I guess there is more could be done with that goat?
    Oh and, if we
resurrect Farren Whyde after encountering the goat, he will tell you that thing is impossible to defeat.

    The figure in the spire:
the pronounce of the figure changed into her at certain moment of the conversation. She said her touch is death, but she loves Analander so much that she can not do what she was made to do. During the conversation the figure reminds my character of Aliizi. If we meet the figure in the before meeting Throben, she will reveal Throben in her vision : ' A beggar. An old man with wild eyes. he will take you by the arm, and then run you through.' So in her vision, our character is killed when encountering Throben, after he gripped us?
Is there possibly a link between this figure and
Aliizi/Bria, after we changed her fate
    ?

    Has anyone tried to keep
    Slangg as their god
    , and encounter
    the Red-eyes in the alley
    ?

    Did anyone manage to find
    Celestine
    in
    Khare
    back in part 2?

    The tower with
a sphere, actually a clothed skull in the west college, if we choose to sleep there we can see visions, but what appears in the option is just ....... There are 3 options, followed by 4 others, all of them are about some important characters in Mampang. Has anyone mange to make clear all of them? The first ...... option of the first round is the vision about Flanker, the second is about Jann; somewhere in the second round I saw Throben.

    And finally,
    Flanker
, he is such an intriguing figure through out the series.
A nice touch by inkle is making you develop some sort of affection for this well-rounded character, then force you to kill him.
    In the part 1
he asked the Analander to finish him with his own sword. Keeping the assassin's sword with you when encounter him at the window of the Soccer's Spike will alter some of the texts. And from part 3 he said his info about sun serpent came from the black elf woman who he killed for supplies. But in part 4 if we have the sun serpent orb with us, we actually get to know he is the one who helped Fenestra to trap this serpent. It is good to see all those little details come together in part 4.
And so my last question is,
is there somewhere we can make our character confess their love to him without killing him in the corridor?

    Finished once again

I just did a short rewind in the tower and
was able to save flanker by casting the spells on him, and he, Jann, and I were able to go to the top. get the crown, and leave no problem (although I was still cursed as i couldn't teleport into the hourglass tower due to not having a green ring).
The potion of disillusion is probably more trouble than its worth from what i can tell, unless you
don't want to take jann with you.
So, now my plan is to play all 4 games and try and get the best ending possible, including
    Alizzi.
I'll probably make posts about the best way through all four, and what are the best paths to take and generally the most efficient was, while also including all the important items. Thanks to all the people who answered my questions.

A grate could mean a lot of things, I guess it depends on the context. I haven't seen the book get kicked out of grate, but it probably means there was, like, a hole in the floor covered by bars, or a window, but when you say grate the first thing in my mind is a little barred hole, either in the floor or on a wall near the floor.

You can enter the Hourglass Tower at least one other way. It's the same as the fourth counter for the Throben Doors, because the spell governing this tower is
    ZEd
    .

It may be redundant for use on
    Flanker
, but you can use it on
yourself, to confront the Archmage alone
. Circumstances in which this might happen is if
you used TOP or a Birdman to bypass Flanker, or you killed Flanker in S1
    .

I think you mean the Red-Eyes. I have, but I think they still question you about
    the priest of Slangg
. The easiest way to get by them without incident is to
wear the monk disguise, and bless them
    .

No, but I'm curious about this too. When
    Cartoum
asks about her, you have the option of saying
she's in Khare, or she's in the Baklands
. I wasn't sure if these were just red herrings.

I'm pretty certain Celestine is not in Kharé. The Analander is clearly just making stuff up.

One my first playthrough, I had no trouble getting the vault password, but I have had no luck since! I feel like I need to
avoid fighting but even when I cast god
some elves aren't affected. Would appreciate any reminders.

Also, I was unsuccessful in avoiding Throben, but
told him I did not want the curse, so I remain mortal, I assume.

Hey guys, sorry if this is a stupid question or it's already been asked, but where can I find
the brass pendulum to save Flanker? On a similar note, what are the other two spells aside from NAP?
