Not so. You can reach the village in an NBAS playthrough. It's just a matter of watching the winds of time carefully and moving when the village is accessible. Respectfully, Brian P.
Can't cast ZEd? I've just been killed by the Goat Archmage and I can't cast ZEd. I get the "upwards" option and the casting picker but when I pick ZEd it shows "unknown spell" and gives no option to cast it. Am I doing something wrong?
that is completely fine, cast the spell anyway and it will work, click on the unknow button to cast in case you are confused about that
It doesn't let me cast the spell. There is no cast option. I've tapped every part of the screen. Nothing works.
hmmm are you sure you picked the correct D letter, if i recall it uses this weird shaped D letter, other than that it might be a bug, i am not sure
Can't cast ZEd? Sounds like it's a bug then. Bummer. I've reported it and will have tonwait before I can complete the game. Thanks for responding.
I'm trying to do a NBAS, max stamina run but to get the most out of the tar tower I will need to keep the crystal tooth. Is there a way of doing a NBAS run and keeping the tooth because right now I am always forced to drop it in the lake?
You can't keep the one you find in the cave, but you can access Tinpang's past and buy one from the tooth merchant.
Last time I posted the method to avoid Throben when entering Mampang (quoted below) and asked if anyone could finish the game with it. Some people tried it and reported that they eventually encountered Throben after walking out of the shrine. First of all, thank you for taking your time to try it. I tried this method again today and here's what I found: After getting out of the Effe's shrine, you have 2 options: turn left or right. If you turn left, Throben will appear on the road. And the road near the field/shrine is the only place he can appear in the game. If you make a right turn, you'll be able to explore the center/east Mampang without encountering Throben. The challenge is to finish the game without entering the west side... ...or at least... entering/exiting the west towers areas without using the side road. I'm not sure if this will work, maybe meeting Throben after using the beacon in S3 is set to be unavoidable by inkle... but who knows if there is a way go bypass it
Stamina ? Hi guys, A stupid question, sorry: what happens if your stamina reach 0 after using ZED a lot of time? Because i lost many points againt the **** archmage goat before knowing you can't just pass it... Thank you,
Bronze Dome Can someone please help with what the Spoiler Bronze Dome and the skeleton inside is/does does and what steps need to be followed? Is it as simple as Spoiler touching the skeleton?
Not in my case. I went toward the center of Mampang and he found me at the statue. It was inkle themselves who hinted earlier in the thread that Throben could be avoided. Now, it's possible they meant by not using the beacons, but given the context I don't think so. And I would expect them to clarify if that were the case, unless they are sadistic.
You don't need to do anything. You will be able to Spoiler rewind to that spot and can simply leave the dome. If you don't see that choice immediately, you can look at the walls or look at the skeleton, and then there should be an option to leave. Did you meet Spoiler Libra on your way to the city? In my beta testing there were times I did not meet her Spoiler when I went down into the ravine rather than crossing it , and it's possible the dome might not Spoiler work as a rewind point if you missed her somehow.
Ouch, that's a lot of dying, even if you didn't get any permanent stamina boosts! Out of curiosity, starting from the reset point, what did you determine was the quickest way to die?
I believe the Spoiler Throben Doors becomes a reset node at some point. So just keep trying and failing to Spoiler open them. and you should get through your health pretty quick.
Ah! That explains much! I indeed did not meet said person! Thank you very much. Looks like a full rewind for me! :/
I did it: Spoiler If you enter the wheat fields and disturb the bees in the stump, and lose all your stamina to the bees, a monk of Effe will take you into the Monastery and Throben will not immediately curse you in the City. He seems to find you after a certain amount of time has passed (half a day?). If you sleep, he will find you when you wake up. He also curses you at once if you go left from the Monastery towards the Western College. To avoid being cursed at all, go straight from the Monastery to the main courtyard. Do not sleep. Get past the guards, the Birdmen, up the Throben Steps and into the Spike. Save Flanker using spells or the Sun Serpent if you have it (as detailed elsewhere) and play the final encounter with the Archmage. In your final sweep over the game, youll be told, You avoided the dark powers who stalk Mampang. You are a normal, mortal woman who, walking alone, has changed the world. You will also see the line avoided all Necromancy in your summary.
