Thanks for the info. I know the Spoiler counter spells already, I just never had a moment to cast them when I went up the tower, but I'm guessing the moment before you open the garret door is when you chug your potion. What characters can protect you? I was under the assumtion the potion was the only way.
If you've been imprisoned by the Archmage, Spoiler you should have found Jann in the cell, and if you escaped the cell (only to die at the hands of the Archmage-goat), you should still have the key to let him out the next time you enter the tower. Minimites block magic, including the magic of the Crown! If you're starting from scratch with this game, the potion is probably the only solution, although Spoiler you meet a Minimite near the beginning who probably plays the same role as Jann.
So, anyone knows what happens with Spoiler Aliizi , if you will take a hand of skeleton in bronze dome what will lead to alleys disappear? I've tried to meet her afterwards, but she still left for house with flowers, that Spoiler obviously doesn't exist anymore in this reality. Is this a dead end, what do you think? And it's probably the same if you'll visit a house before you meet her - there is no way to find house again as I know
I wonder if it's as simple as visiting the Tower of Doors again after Spoiler finding Aliizi there, losing her again, and going through the door to the Spike . Has anyone tried this?
Didn't try this but I don't think this is a case. You just will find other doors, or more probably the same without Aliizi hut like it is in the Tower of Doors when you don't know Aliizi
To those looking for Aliizi's grave: Spoiler it is in Sorcery! 3, not in this game; Aliizi is Bria, whose grave is found near the location of the Rock Demon .
Well, wish me luck. I'm going to try a no-magic walkthrough of all four games. I'll let you know how it goes! Special notes: Spoiler "No magic" means "no magic". That means Khare will be abandoned to its fate. Since I can't use the green ring to teleport, that means I'll have to go through S3 using beacons. I will *attempt* to avoid the curse of throben, but if not I'll bring along Y'bran to remove the curse at the end. I will find Aliizi and see if she will accompany me. I won't be able to pass the doors of Throben, so I'll ask the Samaritans to carry me. Hopefully, I will make it through without ever being forced to cast Zed even once. ETA: Okay, that's book one. Spoiler I was forced to use DOP to open the Cantopani gate. There were no items or other options. Beyond that, it was fairly easy. Since I couldn't use DOP, I passed through the Elvin village to pick up Alianna's key. After that, it was a straight walkthrough to the other side and a final sword battle with the manticore, helped out by a timely prayer. I've changed my mind. For the next book I'll save Khare. It's the chivalrous thing to do. But nothing else save the north gate. Well, wish me luck. I'm going to try a no-magic walkthrough of all four games. I'll let you know how it goes! Since I had no ability to fAR, had to collect Moulas' line by first finding a scrap of paper, then taking the other part from his body. Avoided Vik's slave ship since those werewolves are awfully tough unaided. Got a fire of danger in the artists quarter, then used that and a silver bow on the deathwraith in the tomb . Getting into the graveyard required stumbling around in ivy, and cost stamina but not especially diffiuclt. From there, a quick stop at Courga's temple and then straight out. Book 3 Spoiler Trickiest one. Without the stars, the marsh is almost certainly a death sentence so I avoided it as much as possible. Had to use two beacons to cross Vancas' bridge, but that wasn't important because the artifacts are useless to me. The Grimalkin in the tower could not be destroyed, so I just had to dodge all the fireballs! The hardest part was actually getting up the dock onto the Xamen road. It seems as if you get ONE free access to this road if you arrive in front of the dock after defeating the time serpent. If I arrived before that, I could not climb the dock, and would be forced to use BIG to clamber up. But I found that I could kill the time serpent, head back to the docks, be prompted with "The Xamen Road!" And climb up without help. Going on to book 4 now. Courga is my guide, but I have a plan.. which might not work. We'll see. Respectfully, Brian P.
But we have changed her destiny, as it says in the closing text crawl, so I'm willing to bet her grave is in a different place.
But on the other hand, in the end she is older, can't say she is a girl. And I don't think she is going to die soon too. (yeah, I'm sticking with exact words, "grave of invisible girl", why it is invisible girl, anyway, and not Aliizi?) We should look somehow into a reason why she exist at all (or did I miss something?), it's the most intriguing thing here and might be a key for solving the secret. She also says in the end that wants to look for parents and use beacons, maybe there are some hints in part 3 that can help too?
Huh, that sounds interesting. I have tried to do a no-sword run. Turns out if you want to do a 'full' playthrough (kill the Manticore, learn the North Gate spell and slay the Seven Serpents) you have to use your sword to kill an enemy a grand total of Spoiler once. A harpy in Kharé's Fallen Quarter.
There was a different way to get Spoiler Theetah's spell line though, right? I didn't think you had to Spoiler kill the harpies, I think I remember just asking courga.
Another question here before i screw something up, Spoiler how does one encounter alizzi? So far I know you find her in a door tower post the ZED tower, and you have a chance to enter her hut, then she goes to the flower house, and will visit you at night. Am i missing anything?
It actually says Spoiler "led Aliizi to her destiny"; also, she mentions during the encounter with the archmage that her future was his past.
You also might need to not Spoiler sleep with flanker at the start, because I did on my last try and she didn't Spoiler show up while I slept .
You can Spoiler sleep with Flanker as much as you want, it will not affect getting Spoiler Aliizi to show up .
It says that in the summary at the very end. I'm talking about the text that appears as the view scrolls across your entire journey. I don't have the exact wording commited to memory, but it says that her fate will be different than it was.
In one of the endings, the crawl is Spoiler "You have left Aliizi the Far-Sighted to rebuild the Fortress of Sorcerers, though her discoveries will lead her to quite a different fate." I don't think this contradicts what I have been saying; her fate is not Spoiler to rebuild the fortress, but to go back to the Ancient World, warn the archmage about you, and end up dying for it.
With all due respect, that is not my interpretation. She obviously knows everything that has transpired , and she was told specifically what had transpired , so why would she want to repeat past history? The original fate was Spoiler To die at the hands of the archmage by being buried alive Her new fate (in my interpretation) is, at minimum Spoiler to NOT cast a spell for a madman she just put down as a mad dog. What the exact details of her 'new fate' are ... how much do you want to bet we find out later this year when Inkle puts out the New Game+ version of S4? Respectfully, Brian P.
Does anyone knows the requirements in order to initiate romance with Flanker? I got the "Sleep, together" option with him here but I still end up as friends in the ending.
