This is really tied into my issue with Throben's curse as a mechanic. When we step through the gates, we get the message that
    we can no longer rewind
and after a moment of panic, I loved it. Some real stakes. I had to be very careful with every decision... for a few minutes until I was whisked away and that mechanic was revealed. There is no consequence to using it because
max stamina bumps are all over the place (and actually, I never really needed high stamina). It removes all sense that our actions need care. It is way more powerful than the rewind mechanic because we get to keep all our stuff.

I realise how hard it would be without it and one part is clearly designed to use it. I can especially understand a desire to avoid making it frustratingly hard for newcomers. But I think I'd have preferred things without it at this point. Or at the very least, a far harsher punishment to make us really dread having to use it.

I don't hate it as it is, but I feel that it would be a better mechanic if it took something like
4 stamina at a time, or if there were fewer stamina increases.

At least I can play without it.

The trouble with having no rewind whatsoever is that it would kind of take away from the faintly slapstick comedy that's been present throughout the series.

One of the joys of the Sorcery! series has been doing stupid stuff just to see what happens. What happens if I try and beat up Vancass? What happens if I become a pirate captain? What happens if I try and make the Time Serpent dance? All the many ways I can fail in numerous interesting ways is half the content of the game. Making it so I have to sneak into Mampang and find my way into the Inner City just so I can see what happens if I shove the Crown of Kings up my other nostril would just decrease the glorious silliness of the whole affair.

There is a place inside the fortress where you can encounter
    Libra
    again. This place is
    inside the Bronze dome.
You can choose when to visit at any time once on your journey within the fortress which allows you to rewind at any time back to this point.

To get to her you need to
follow the directions you find in the house in the right alley to get to the Bronze dome. Then you need a sharp sword to get inside the dome.
    :)

Yes, this is very true. But some real tension towards the end of the game is what was offered up when
we enter the gates but it is taken away so quickly. Maybe the rewind mechanic should have just stayed rather than the even less tense Throben's curse? Or maybe a genuine no rewind section but a short one towards the very end of the game, where replaying from a certain point isn't a total chore?
As it is, I don't see having to replay as all that much of a problem if we mess up badly. It's how we learn for the next play.

    Anyone found these yet?

Some things I am still curious about:

    1. They mention in one of their posts that you can find
    five different gods
. Did they mean in Sorcery! 4 or throughout the series? So far, in Mampang, I've found
Eilmon, Effe, and perhaps that god whose altar is in the spire in the field, although that doesn't seem to count as I'm unable to worship it anyway.
    EDIT:
Upon further thought, it can't be five in the entire series because there's Ca'oth, Throff, Courga, Slangg, Effe, and Eilmon already, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else.

    2. Anyone figured out who
it is that sneaks up to worship in the spire at night and says they love you?

    3. Is there any other outcome
in the bronze dome with Libra and that skeleton that doesn't result in you either leaving the skeleton alone or destroying the dome by touching the skeleton or casting ZAP or something?

I thought the only idea of the dome was to allow you to create a rewind point, so always leave the dome and skeleton without destroying them or casting spells. To do this I just examine the skeleton (without grabbing it), then look at the walls, then leave the dome. I always visit Libra before gambling with the monks so if I don't win I can go back and try again.

Right -- I do get the
    rewind point
but I was wondering if there was any other outcome from the encounter, apart from those two options.
I have definitely gotten the rewind point and had it work after I destroyed the dome.

    It is not
    Aliizi
(I asked Inkle during Beta testing)

Although the figure is called 'they' and 'it' mostly there's one or two refs to 'she' which might be a slip up by the writers. I have no idea if this is relevant :p

I would really like to know this one. It's a short figure and the speech pattern isn't familiar...

That's fine, because I prefer not to
    destroy Kariamma.
I only have the full 29 in an NBAS cloud save.

    And the
    JIG tower
stamina boost is new to me!

You have to do something in particular before you enter the room with the
    Mucalytic.
Follow the slime trail first. Try to get the attention of the people through the glass. PM me if you need more help.

With the save with 29 max stamina, you will
have to lose 1 to reach the full 56; otherwise, you can only ever reach 55.
Which may be good enough, I guess. There are two ways to
lose the stamina: either get caught in the avalanche as I said, or you can get poisoned by the side door entrance to the fields.

so i just have been thinking,
for the part where you fall under the influence of the crown and end up getting locked in the cell. after you escape you will encounter this black goat that will kill you regardless
, it just came into my mind that in the market at the weapon merchant you will find a golden cutlass that costs 600 gold, if i recall correctly then the weapon smith claims that this weapon is magical that it can never break, get stolen and once held in the owner hand it can not be dropped.
so if i recall correctly if you draw your sword in attempt to fight the demon goat thing it will force you to drop the sword, but what if you used the golden cutlass at that point since it can not be dropped, will the outcome change?. i would love to try but i can't spare 600 gold atm

There is another way to get it. If you have
gems or jewels from a previous game, you can trade for it. Although I'm about 90% sure I had the cutlass when I was killed by the fiery goat. But not 100% sure so worth a shot.

You just lose the cutlass, yes; don't believe everything that the seller tells you, he is trying to justify a 600GP price tag.

It's best not to do anything against
    the Archmage-goat
. Just wait for it to kill you, or jump out of the tower before you encounter it. You already know you can lose your weapon, but you can also lose
your god if you pray, or your ability to use magic if you cast a spell.

    While you do lose
    your god and your sword
    , your
    magical ability
is not really lost; when you
    cast ZEd
, you regain it, even if you had lost it by other means (
such as losing an arm or searching in piles of wood
    ).

I've made it inside the dome but didn't meet libra. Is there anything special which needs to be done when inside?

Also I was wondering throughout S3 there are hints about your predecessor who was sent first by the king (like finding his pack in one of the beacon towers or the guy who tries to trick you with an illusion mentions meeting him/her). Is there any chance of meeting that predecessor in S4?

I had always assumed that he was the guy you met in S1 that was stuck up a tree, so unless he came back this way probably not? He was cursed to become ancient by that woman who lives near the waterfall. (Sightmaster said something about your predecessor returning, but 'changed'...)
