Kaboobie. It's the name of a flying camel from an old Hanna-Barbera cartoon, Shazzan. On the steps at the beginning, in the undergrowth, you can Spoiler fight a bird and take two eggs. In the swampy tower in the eastern college, Spoiler go down to the water, fight the slime beast, then cast POp to drain the swamp (hinted at if you first cast HOW). You'll be able to get three raw fish, which you can cook on the burning rubble further north. You can also get a large stash of Blimberry potions Spoiler if you kill Naggamanteh .
Kaboobie (great name, btw), I was responding to the question about whether it was possible to Spoiler save Jann without having to toss him out the window so you can unlock the door magically and get the key, then you die to goat-boy, resetting with Zed, and having the key to open the cell a second time. . Basically, I was trying to say that there is a way to open the cell door without throwing Jann to his death and having to use a Zed reset to do it all over again. As for Y'bran, yeah, I figured I had overdone with him, making him leave in a huff.
The TAR Tower will kill you, and it's a function of you Max STAM. It's roughly as follows: Spoiler <20 Wait twice then start to struggle +4 Max Stam <30 Wait once then start to struggle +2 Max Stam 30 + you will die regardless +2 Max Stam but lose one to ZED
Libra Dialogue Hi everyone, I reached a point on the way to Mampang where my vision became blurry and I spoke with Spoiler the Goddess of Justice, Libra, near Analand. She says that once in the walls, Spoiler she won't be able to protect me and the dialogue to me hints that Spoiler once inside the fortress, you can't rewind decisions. Is this true?
I have always been able to follow this sequence of events: Spoiler 1. Give her a gold coin 2. Talk to her until she mentions the Sightmasters 3. Tell her I have killed a Sightmaster 4. She heals me, adds +1 stamina, and tells me to begone 5. Say I want to ask her some questions 6. Ask her if the Archmage can be defeated (usually the only option, but there may be one about "hidden areas of the city" if you haven't yet learned about the Inner College) 7. She offers the potion after telling me how to identify the good Birdmen If that's not working for you, I am at a loss...
This is a new one on me, but having tried this I still didn't get the spear as a gift. I found the dead Hoofborn but did not touch her, told the leader about her, and talked to her after visiting the fire. She told me to kill the Archmage but I did not get the option to promise anything. I then went to the trader and the leader told him to "treat me kindly", but then I left without the leader doing anything more.
Actually, it is Spoiler each of "close my eyes", "wait" and "tug" will either raise max stamina by 2 or skill by 1 (stamina is raised on the first option). you can wait 3 times (you die on the fourth), and tug twice (the third one releases you and does not give a bonus). You also have to keep looking at your max stamina: if it goes over 34 after adding the bonus, you will die. FYI, carrying over from at least S2 (for knightfin soup), you can end the game with Spoiler 54 max stamina. Spoiler You need to ask about the spear in the shop, then decline to buy it. If you got the leader to like you, she will give you the spear when you are leaving their village.
Still not working for me. Spoiler She did personally bid me farewell this time, but only told me to take the side route into Mampang.
I can't even Spoiler ask if the Archmage can be defeated at all. This is how the conversation usually goes: Spoiler Enter the town through either the Larder Tunnel, or the Barracks door> Meet Throben> Talk to the woman and give her a coin> Kill Sightmasters> Talk to the woman again> Ask about either: "How can i gain access to the tower?" or "Does the Archmage have any enemies?"> Get given the info about the Birdmen and get told to leave. You can optionally add the following and change nothing about anything that happens with her: 1. Killing the Sightmaster in the Barracks, or killing other Sightmasters before you meet her. 2. Giving her two gold instead of one. 3. Having Throben's curse. 4. Not having Throben's curse. 5. Never mentioning her eyes in the conversation. Thanks for the hints! I found two other sources for food -- 1) There is a house in the alleys that you find on the third try. The criminally-minded can steal food from the kitchen. 2) The tavern owner will sell either a bowl of stew for 4 gold, or takeway dried meat for 6 gold. That second option is good for 7 rations, which should be adequate, especially if you carried food over from the beginning of the game. By the way, I'm finding the game a lot less tedious now that I can win at rat races. Previously, I started up every playthough by building up a stash of cash by gambling swindlestones at the monastery, so every time I got sent back I had to play many, many games of swindlestones. It became tedious in a hurry. The rat races save a lot of time! Respectfully, Brian P.
I did bury the one in the cave and she did tell me about the sickness. I told her I was feeling fine or something like that. Maybe that is what is the key?
Keeping the Sun Serpent Orb from sorcery 3 Hi folks, I asked in the Sorcery 3 page but didn't get much in terms of an answer... I'm at the point of killing the Water Serpent Spoiler using the Sub Orb but I wanted to know if there is anything in Sorcery 4 that's worth keeping the Orb and bringing it over? Thanks!
It will give you an alternative action at one key point near the end of the game, which is useful if you're missing other magic items. You can also have interesting conversations with one or two people about the Sun Serpent. However there's no penalty for taking the Sun Serpent with you and the game behaves as if you killed all 7.
Sorry, I meant Spoiler "Does the Archmage have any enemies". I may have been confusing that line with another character. But I don't know why the same steps work for me and not you. I hope someone else can help you with the old woman.
I forgot about that one. If you meet the owner Spoiler she will give you additional food to eat on the spot if you ask for it, whether or not you stole from her. The Spoiler Sightmasters near the alleys also yield one or two rations if you fight them. I did not know that about the rations! I always opted for the cheaper stew, when I bought food at all. See, even after beta testing for nearly two months, there are still new discoveries to be made.
