Probably a good idea to give something like the first level and then another one or two harder levels to show how the game gets harder.
Damn! I'm still two short, the two blue coins levels in world 7. The second I figure I could do if I mapped it out, but the first just defines frustration. Any chance of making it like 60 or more golds ?
Just spent 45 mins on the same level trying to get all 50 coins. I doubt whether you're still stuck on the same level a month later, but someone else might find it helpful. The ramps just don't work properly - if you let gravity take over, you miss two out of the three, and if you jump at the end of the ramp, you also miss two. The only way i could manage was to jump before i reached the end of the ramp to halt my momentum, and then jump across to the circular platform to the left. From there, you can jump off and back on again in one motion to retrieve the leftmost of the three coins, and then roll slightly to the right of the centre of the platform and retrieve the remaining two in one jump. Think my neighbours might be calling the police about now however, i think my shrieks of frustration may have been misconstrued as someone being particularly sadistically tortured
If you map it out (Blue Coins II World 7) please share your screenshots/strategies This level has given me fits!
Thanks for your tip! I lucked up and got past that one. I'm in the last world, but having trouble with the last blue coin level now . They get progressively harder, as you can imagine. Welcome to TA by the way.
Do you like platformers? Go watch the videos posted earlier in this thread and see what you think... Also, since this game involves gravity changes, there is a sense of vertigo that most platformers don't have, some like it, some don't - that might fact might help you decide. I got when it came out and have been having fun with it ever since.
wow - I had never watched the videos. the gravity thing is amazing. I think its the screenshots (rather simple) that are not allowing it to climb higher in the App store. I'm buying it now though -
The game is basically the best platformer bar none on the iPhone. Check Appstore and gaming website reviews. I wonder if they'll ever update it with the trailer music and improved logo.
And the name. It sucks but people have a hard time getting interested in things they can't pronounce.
It's fun too near the end. Then it's just really hard and annoying. I hope ravensword isn't like that. I mean i like a challenge but that was to much.
Might work on mapping it, in terms of strategy, I'll use abbreviations like UR = up & right, with skip for when you want to miss the first available in that direction, and try to document the moves I took: R, R, UR, UR, DR, DR, L, D, UL, L, DL, D, D, R, UR, D, D, DR, R, UR, UR, UL, UL, L, DR, DR, R, UR, UL, R, D, DL, R, R, R, UR, UL, R, R, L (long), R, D, D, R, U (tricky), U (tricky), R, U (tricky), UR, UR, R (skip), R, R, R, R (skip), R (skip), R, L, DL, L, DR, L, UL, UL, UL, UL, UL, U, end. That's a bit of a mess and very hard to multitask with playing, but might help, and won't mean much to anyone as a spoiler if they don't know the level . I seem to remember you mentioned getting stuck around 70 coins - that's about where you have to do, or at least I did, the tricky jumps directly up between platforms; and then there's the first 'skip' in my writeup, where you have to leave a platform so you have a way to the exit; it's a hard one to jump over as there is one above you at the time as well, but it's possible, GL .
LOL, I wish I saw this BEFORE I spent the same ridiculous amount of frustrating hours getting 50 coins doing the same method.
Hi all! World 7 level 7. How many times to do need to bop the boss on the head to kill him? I think I got to 4 or 5 and he is still not dead. putting this down for a while....to frustrated.
Agreed, thanks Touch Foo! Best iPhone game and I'm glad collecting all the gold stars won't be without reason! Can't wait for your future games!!!
