Such an amazing game, and maybe my favorite on the iPhone. I just finished this insanely punishing blue coin level (Rock and Roll? Something like that) and am so happy. I really had to restrain myself from crushing my iPhone or slamming it onto the ground every time I died on that final stretch.
I have been playing this game over the weekend and found it amazing. I have even written a review and uploaded a (bad) video. The first game lasted 24min. I think is a mix of Super Mario with some gravitational elements from Rolando. Really recommended buy, it has big re-play value.
Appgamer reviewed Soosiz, 8/10. Love the gameplay and control, wished the visuals and music had some sprucing up. Again, I'm hoping for a puzzle platformer like Donkey Kong feat Mario (Gameboy) but that's just me. http://Appgamer.net/reviews/2009/nov/3/soosiz/
How did I miss this game!! Just saw it on the front page and figured I give it a try, love a good platformer, and W.O.W! This is by far the best game I've played on the iPhone. Fun, visually appealing, and the controls are spot on perfect. I really hope other developers take note and I hope Touch Foo keeps em' coming. I thought Toy Bot Diaries was pretty good but this is another level imho. Also, does it make anyone else want to play Super Mario Galaxy again? 5 Thumbs Up!!
I'm working on a review for a certain site. I was wondering; does the game tell you anything about the name of the race or planet youre playing with/at? I cant remember and I dont want to reset my progress.
Every level does have a name that is displayed in the loading screen for the level. As for the World name, can't remember but it probably is displayed somewhere.
Help with boss on flower world I need some help here. I know I need to run, but I can't figure out, how to "kill" the boss. Thanks in advance, Matt
You actually don't kill the boss, you out maneuver him. You need to run away from him and go over lots of the obstacles and avoid the monsters. Then, when you get to a row of the spikey chain things that you go over (and avoid some of the big gray ball spike monsters along the way, you keep on running (you are no longer on a sphere after that) and there is a red spring jump thing you jump on and it opens up the door and you run inside. Meantime the boss just drops off a clift. If you want the really easy way to do it, use your invincible power and just start running away from the boss and go through all the monsters and things. He is really the easiest boss if you do it this way.
Thanks a lot. Duuh, I used to get killed before I could reach the first flowers on this "sphere". Now I have finally managed.
world 7 blue coins II I wish there was a map for this area that you could study before jumping into world 7 blue coins II. I've been able to get up to 60-70 blue coins fairly consistently before cutting myself short by jumping on the wrong platform. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
A map would be useful. I tried this one for the first time last night and got the strategy up to where there are two stacks of three platforms next to each other. I think a jump from a platform to the one above it is required there, and that's a hard one. One is also required to ultimately get to the exit, but it seems mean to have one earlier on as well given how unforgiving the level is. I resolved to just get to the exit for another completed level, as it was almost 1am . Then this morning I finally finished the world 4 blue coins levels, and the first one on world 7, which is my pick for the hardest of the lot -*somehow ended up with 72 coins, but most attempts I couldn't even make it past the first two areas - jumping across round platforms ... balancing on a ball ... is seriously annoying. Anyway, that made all 65 completed at least, and so I tried the last boss level again - still the "more challenges to conquer" message, is there even a 'better' ending than that?
I purchased this yesterday due to all the great comments about it, but so far I have to say that it just isn't grabbing me. It's really kind of boring or at least just not very exciting. I feel like I'm just plodding through it. Maybe it will get better the further I get in, though.
Thanks for the input. I was able to get all the coins on world 7 blue coins I after attempting it humpteen times. I'm sure it's the hardest blue coin level, but II is the close second.
Nice work. Yes the first one is mainly hard because the start is such that you don't get much practice at the rest of the level. The second one would probably still be hard even with a walkthrough. The annoying thing is that it is very hard to pause usefully on that one as if you have landed on a platform, it will disappear even if you pause.
I feel the same, the game is nice for some "toilet" minutes, but to repetative to play more then 2 or 3 maps imo. Allthough the levels do get harder, its still the same thing and it aint getting exciting for me.. (with an occasionally blueball map once in a while that i do enjoy due the fact the time limit is challenging for me). Have to agree that the graphics and controls are very smooth!
Not every game is for everybody. For those who like this type of platforming gameplay, Soosiz is anything but boring. Every level introduces a new variation on the theme.
