As soon as you start the stage, just jump in place a couple of times and look carefully... you should be able to figure it out from there ;)

I ain't gonna lie, I've started playing in 3 level sections cause the game does make me dizzy a little bit. Pretty much the only games where I can tolerate this spinning business is Soosiz and Rolando.

Hmm, game seems stuck around 90 in Games, whereas games have to make it in the 40's on that list to make it on the main Top 100 paid apps list. Game needs another publicity boost.

It should get featured by Apple eventually. In the meantime I guess it's time to market to the other sites.

Good job, great analysis. Thank you for reporting the problems too. :)

There is not really any magic formula to the level design. First you pick a overall concept for the level and then it is mostly trial and error and a lot of testing. The illusion of randomness is probably not just an illusion. Some things are just thrown around the level "randomly" to make it more interesting.

One major problem arises from the fact that there are a lot of people with different skill levels. No matter what you do, the levels will always be too easy for someone and too difficult for someone else.

if I remember correctly, I think there is a button you have to push to sprout more shrooms?

Not 100% sure and I can't check the game...at work now.

Ah I got that part, it's after finishing that, how do I get to the portal without falling to my death?

I wonder if the low price point is actually hurting the games sales. This may seem counter-intuitive, but I know I held off buying the game since the price point made me think the game was a light casual game with a short play time. Not the long and indepth platform game it is. If I had seen the game priced at something like $4.99 or more, I might have been more inclined to think that the game was more ambitious before buying it.

...if you are stuck at the part where you must jump off a point end of a big heart shaped mushroom and there is an arc of coins to collect, you need to jump just before you hit the end...if the you get to near to the end of the point, the game will not acknowledge the jump button. Fell to my death repeatedly there.

Ugh I soooo regret getting this after listening to the comments that this is not like Rolando... (should've watched videos first >.>)
This is the same, if not worse, than Rolando. The game has like no challenge, and so straightforward that I really can't keep my fingers on the screen after 5 consecutive levels of just walking and jumping like the Mario crap. At least Rolando had some sort of challenge to it...
    /delete -.-';
When will real platformers appear for the iPhone... like Claw or something o.o

Are we talking about the same game here? Because this game gets really, really, REALLY hard. Not to mention that I can't find the slightest way in which it is the "same" as Rolando. It's much more like a 2D Mario Galaxy.

While I'll grant that it does start out super-easy, that does change rather quickly. The blue coin levels in particular are nothing short of evil.

definitely agreed on that, blue coins definitely designed with a streak of cruelty

I actually think it's that there is not a lite version. Remember tons of people will try a freebie and then buy it if they like it.

TooFoo, I work in online marketing, and I really think it's that there is not a lite version. Make a lite version and then raise the price of the full version. Bet you make a lot more
