Sony unveils PlayStation 4!

I was hoping the release date for Second Son was going to come forward

Still, as good as it looks now it is comforting to know they're going to spend another 4 months on it.

 

Having some issues with the online of killzone. Hoping they can stabilize this, It is launch night after all.

 

The launch has killed PSN for a bit. I'll weather the storm.
After all, who didn't expect this?

Pretty much. Not too impressed by killzone I've got to say. We were all excited and well, its just kind of there. Maybe it's just too early though

 

Gryphon, does it still have bots for offline/co-op multiplayer?

 

I've never seen a genuinely impressive Killzone game and I've owned three of them.

 

I never played the first one, not game to get the HD version either but I've enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd. Especially multiplayer, probably the closest thing to Quakeworld Team Fortress I've played since well, QWTF. Excellent non vehicular team MP, when people aren't spamming anyway

The stories are generally serviceable, the voice acting is always wanting for more, but singleplayer bar the overarching concept is usually pretty run of the mill. Where it shines for me is the MP and that it's freaking gorgeous.

 

For me, Killzone is much like most other modern FPS's - it's made for multiplayer with a single player tacked onto it

I wish I was among the PS4 owners. The launch lineup is weak, sure, but I'd probably really like Resogun and Contrast looks cool too, and other good stuff is coming. Plus I just like new gadgets. Would love to try out the streaming feature. Our finances just aren't there for it yet. Could be a year away yet.

I've been watching streams of Resogun. That game looks right up my alley and boy is it pretty to look at. On the other hand I watched some play of Knack. That is like Skylanders but without the hook. Pass. Didn't look that great either. Could easily be a PS3 game.

If you are a PSN+ member those two titles are free for December in EU Territories, think US has them free at the moment. Sounds like you don't have to be a PS4 owner to lock them in. I'm currently hoarding for when I get my PS4
