It requires iOS7, and also I think the iPhone 4 is way too weak to support it. Actually, the easy level is free at first, but when you get deeper in the world tour, the medium level becomes free (instead of the easy) and so on until the difficult level is available for free (expert always requires to spend one star) And on the topic of IAPs, I want the whole world to listen to me: the IAPs are not necessary; you can beat the whole game, upgrade all of your characters and so on, without spending a single cent. Extreme grinding is not necessary, you can get a whole lot of rings just by playing (the stars are a bit more rare, but still you can get a lot of them).
Thanks for the reply. It's not really my genre of game, but it might try it next timet he price comes down.
On thinking a little more about this, it's probably not entirely accurate to say EA is just being greedy with RR. After noticing how empty Transformed's online racing is, and noting that the game has only 387 ratings on the App Store, it may be that EA is just more wise to the ways of the App Store than Sega. I wonder if Sega would be getting a lot more downloads and potential IAPs if it was free, or if it's just that kart racers aren't as popular as more realistic racers.
Yea free entries are the best way to maximize visibility especially if the game has high production value. Even at 99 cents starting it pushes a ton of people away unless this was an established ios brand already. I think it'd be more profitable for sega to perma drop to free. This coming from someone who paid for this game 4 times. (Pc, vita, ios, android) also this game doesn't work at all on my note 3. Black screen like other reviews say.
