No i havent...i was thinking of getting it back when it first came out, but what i saw didnt really catch my interest, so i decided against it..
I think there's no "best game ever"... that is a very subjective value. The game you like most will be the best game ever. There are too many people with too many different tastes... that's the reason why this question becomes quite personal. There's not "a best game", just a "your best game". Btw., I bought both Doodle Jump and Tilt to Live. I deleted both after an hour or something and never played them again. Games like these are quite pointless for me. My best iPhone game ever would be "Puzzle Quest". Maybe I changes to "Chaos Rings"... who knows?
I almost 100% agree with this. I enjoy Tilt to Live though, although as I've said before I like Bit Pilot quite a bit more. I'd also consider putting PuzzleQuest as my "best game ever." It's definitely in the top 5 for me, and likely the top three. It's damn good.
You've gotten me taking another look at Vector Tanks Ex...hmmm. Definitely agree on Jet Car Stunts. It's in a class of its own in terms of platforming. Amazing game that deserves even more attention than it's getting. Edit: Having now bought and played Vector Tanks Extreme, I can wholeheartedly agree with you. This game is AWESOME and it needs more attention.
I took a look at ThumbJam...it looks pretty great. I've also been considering synthPond. But what I really want is an app where I can make music and export it to my music library and listen to it when the app is off. I don't know if any of these apps do that though.
3-Duko - great twist on the old Sudoku formula. http://appshopper.com/games/3-duko CruX - another great twist on the old Sudoku formula. http://appshopper.com/games/crux Jet Ball - fantastic breakout game. http://appshopper.com/games/jet-ball Furballs! - very fun line-drawing game http://appshopper.com/games/furballs
hmmm nobody said N.O.V.A. or GTA yet!? lol i'm just kidding. but seriously Battle for Wesnoth should be getting TONS more recognition. 2012 Zombies vs Aliens is another great game that never really became popular. and I'm surprised that Doom Classic is never really talked about? IMO it is the best FPS in the store right now... and HOPEFULL DOOM 2 addon is still coming out.
I'm gonna go a little off the beaten track here on a couple: 1) Doom Reserrection - This got a lot of grief for the "on rails" BS, but this game is an iDevice exclusive, and it's GREAT. It's never left my device. After one of the best free updates ever, it got even better. 2) Iron Man II - I don't know why, but I think this game is getting unfairly slammed. I think it's actually really fun, and my biggest beef is that it's too short...I'd like to play it longer. 3) Deadliest Catch - This hasn't gotten much fanfare, maybe because the TV show is an American cable show (don't know if it's played outside of the US at all), but it captures the fun of the show a lot. 4) Power Pros 2010 - Probably the best improvement from one year to the next I've seen on this platform. This version adds real teams, players, and most importantly, difficulty, to make it my favorite baseball game on the app store bar none. 5) NBA Live - If you look at this as an arcade game rather than a sim game, it becomes really enjoyable. I always thought this title flew under the radar. I still play it, and if it was a touch more difficult it would be truly amazing.
Finger vs. Finger- fun game with multiplayer, lengthy campaign, awesome graphics with a variety of themes, intuitive controls, all for 99 cents.
