Rapti posted a comment on one of his uTube vid 1 month ago. According to it the beta of SD should be out at the moment, and the game'll be released when no more bugs can be found. Those beta testers better do a good job!
Sweet, I assumed Raptisoft had thrown in the towel for iOS development after the kitty game failed to thrive and all their titles went FTP. Solomon's Keep is *still* the closest any iOS game I've played came to recreating the actual fun of a Diablo like game by smart distillation of the genre instead of soulless spamming of random elements like Gameloft does.
Well, SD is going to be more of an expanded SB, but I just prefer SK so I post here. Still, more Solomon games is a good thing
Just dropped by Raptisoft forum and a beta tester seems confident that SD might hit the Store on 13th Jan 2014.
Solomon dark is never going to be released, but there is a new Solomon game coming. http://www.raptisoft-forums.com/discussion/2/new-forums Posted in February 2015 And you can check the developer's forum if you want to be updated on that. The game is still in development but the developer doesn't want to give a release date just yet. Can't wait!
+1 The story of Solomon Dark is a tragic one. Excited too to read about the news of a new Solomon game, but judging from the activity of the developer's forum, it may be a while to hear more news.
Um, there's a lot of activity... The developer is posting weekly screenshots and describing new features.
~waits (very hopefully and) patiently in the dark in the hopes of a 64bit update, ready to pounce as soon as it hits~
new info from the official raptisoft forums: "Just something bloggy here... 1. Solomon's Keep, the iOS11 update is completed and submitted and SHOULD launch before the 32-bit graveyard. It has a very minor glitch in it where it does not record feats properly which will be fixed in a quick update. 2. Solomon's Keep Android is done except for a few minor glitches. It's basically ready to go, but needs maybe one day's work and some testing on a few specific devices (this is being delayed now because of next item) 3. Boneyard for iOS11 is in progress. It will miss the 32-bit graveyard, but should not be too long before launch. 4. Boneyard for Android will happen soon after. 5. The ports have been difficult. I am considering writing the RwK sequel this year rather than porting the original RwK, because the time difference between porting and writing anew won't be very big. 6. Also considering Chuzzle 2 for this year, since it's a short write and since EA/Popcap has completely pulled Chuzzle from just about everywhere. 7. Wondering if I can get a Hamsterball mobile port, RwK2, and Chuzzle 2 all out this year if I hold off SKHD for 2018. That's all."
So psyched about this update. Widescreen was all I was really after, all the rest is a bonus. Thank you Raptisoft for treating a true classic with the respect it deserves.
I saw this on the update Queue and you have no idea how happy I am! I just got done playing!! To know the other game that I spent a bunch of money on is being updated too, is just freaken icing on the cake!!!! I can't wait!!! Billy
