Things are going slowly, so it's looking like August for Boneyard. It's not even in Beta yet. BTW, I've got a poll going for what people want to see in the next update... if you're interested in weighing in, I'm basically leaving this poll open until I break ground on the update. You can vote here: http://raptisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=74.0 The highest two are going in.
This is a real minor gripe I have.....I constantly forget what level my weapons were at when I first merged them together......because of this, i find myself not able to determine when/if I should merge them again. Just maybe put Fireball Level 6/Lightning Level 2 under Flame Lash so that we we can better track when we should merge them again. Sound like a good idea?
I'll see if I can work it in... the main problem on iPhone is that space is so limited, but even if I can't make it fit on the iPhone one, I'll be sure this info is available on the Win/Mac/iPad one.
Oh, BTW... the program is set up so that if you haven't increased any of the ingredient spells, it won't offer you a weld. So if you see a weld at all, it's because you increased something.
Thanks for the update. I noticed something else.....Whenever you get to level 18 of fireball the stats automatically go down to zero. So if you're on level 18 fireball and to go to weld, your stats will drop down to almost zero (or basically whatever the stats are for your other weapon your welding). If you level it up to 19 it goes back to like 120 damage or something like that. I have a screenshot of it if you like.
Also can you colour code shields both player's and minions. It's kinda hard to tell otherwise how much shield is left.
Raptisoft, Can you explain the following: 1. There is a tiny bar between the Life bar and the Mana bar? What is it? 2. Regarding the Epic Staff and Rare Rings with their special powers, are they entirely determined randomly, conditional on the levels of the players and the difficulty level of the game? What are the maximum values for these extra powers? I am seeing other players reporting extremely high values (to the point of being ridiculous) in offense and defense skills (such as +4 all skills). Is it because the game is played many times? Does the game somehow keep track of how many times it has been played when determining the awards?
In addition to the two questions below, I have two more questions: 3. Having played through the game many times, I discovered that some skill sets never appear together. For example, I acquired Teleport, Magic Shield, and Ring of Fire, but no matter how hard I tried, I cannot never get Magic Circle. This is even though part of the skill sets I can purchase is Magic Circle. However, because I even got the first level, I cannot do the upgrade. Can you explain? 4. Exactly what does Creativity do? I don't get the benefits of this at all? More options to do what and when?
Not sure about your 3rd question but Creativity adds one more option to pick from when you lvl up. You have three options to pick from normally but when you have Creativity you get four options. Also, not sure if someone has asked this yet or not but when you weld two of the attacks together does it take into account the bonus you have from rings and staffs?
Raptisoft do the bosses drop any gold or exp rings? Can anyone beat solomon at lv 16 on wizzard? I could.
You can only have two secondary skills for the first several levels, and then at some point you can get a third. After you have gotten three different secondary skills, no more will show up at the level-ups.
Is there a reference list of which are secondary skills and which combination can or cannot exist? Much of the skill upgrade system appear to be undocumented, and it is very hard to figure it out to plan any strategy ahead.
If I trade gold for experience only (without ever using the gold to buy the power upgrades), does this violate the "No Wisdom" feat?
YES IT DOES Also talking about the xp for gold, I have a glitch with that. I was like lvl 23 or 24 when this happened. I got the 1000% gold staff so my gold was about at 30,000 or so and went to do the xp trade. Of course this was enough to lvl me up once (most likely three or four times). It said lvl up when you kill a monster. I went to kill the monster and when I did it did the lvl up light and slow down but never gave me the to pick a trait. So I turned off the game to try again and the same thing happened. Does this happen when you just put too much money in the xp thing?
That's a glitch from me not actually expecting people to save up that much gold. I didn't plot out the mathematics of +1000% gold when I made the ring. What's happening is, it levelled you up two (or more) levels, and the program just doesn't know how to handle that. The fix is in the big bag of OS4 glitch fixes that should be coming out soon.
The staff and ring drops are completely random. However, on Wizard and Archmage difficulty, there are whole other sets of epic items that are even more epic. For instance, you'd never see a +4 to all skills item while playing normal difficulty. So, there's one set of items that get dropped on Normal difficulty, a whole other set of drops for Wizard, and a third set for Archmage. * * * Also, asked elsewhere in the thread... the only "skill sets" in the game, the only dependencies, are the three primary skills. All secondary skill levelups are completely random, to keep the game random. If you're never getting a chance to level one up or never seeing the skill you want, it's just the luck of the draw. I am addressing this somewhat with a perks system, that will let you pre-select a few skills to start the game with. That's planned for the 2.5 version that fixes some glitches... I'm testing the concept out with Solomon's Boneyard which is now almost done.
For those who are mathematically inclined or just curious, can you give us some probabilities for dropping the MOST EPIC items, such +3 or +4 all skills? Also, if I switch at the last minute to +1000% gold epic staff/ring, will this cause the boss to drop less frequently epic items? For me, I like to know so to judge how many times I need to replay the game to get one such item "on average". I am curious because the forum on your own site has posts from some players that managed to gather all of these TRULY EPIC items, some of which are all from a single game! I played this game many times already, but I came across, if ever, those items (such as the +4 all skills, which I have never seen), at much lower frequency that it appeared so from the forum (though I admit it is difficult to judge). Lastly, what is the MOST DIFFICULT EPIC item to get ever? Is is the +4 all skills?
