I believe the unresponsiveness of controls might be something I simply can't get around on the iPhone... I think that things might get registered as a pinch, or a drag, or a swipe, or other things rather than the "touch" that I'm looking for to register these things. It might be that with the number of fingers touching the screen or the motions a person makes register as something other than "touchesbegan."

I'll fiddle around with it, see if I can do anything... I'll see if intercepting pinches or swipes or whatnot is viable to catch some of these cases.

Cuz right now, it's all fairly simple stuff-- touch the iPhone in this area, and activate this. The only way that can fail is if the iPhone doesn't tell me a touch happened.

makes sense, and it does seem like whenever it happens it's because i've "begunTouch" with both thumbs at pretty near the same time. the iPhone registering that as a "pinch" is nothing you can fix. Apple should make it part of their API to turn off detection of multi-finger gestures and treat each finger as a separate case.

still playing the game! i'm halfway through a missles-only run and loving every minute of it (except the parts where i die) :D

A little slower than I hoped. Look for the beta in the next 2 weeks-ish.

I was talking to John the other day about the prequel to Solomon’s Keep. I have to say it sounds like a lot of fun and a lot of action. Of course John has some surprises planned as well……

It's coming... Boneyard will be out first (a seperate game, prequel), sometime in July unless things go badly. 3.0 in mid/late August.

Separate game as in separate app? Or in game DLC? Just curious, I'll buy it either way :)

Boneyard is a new game, done because I have gotten an incredible amount of e-mails asking for an "endless game" to play, rather than storming the keep.

You will be able to grind in 3.0 Solomon's Keep... the Boneyard code is going into there too. I just didn't want to present players of Solomon's Keep with a menu system along the lines of Play->What Game->What Slot->What Options, to keep it simple.

So Boneyard is going to be a fairly fleshed out prequel to SK along the lines of Minigore, while in SK 3.0 there will be a no-frills graveyard where you can simply grind skeletons if you need a level up badly.
