In the 2.1 update, these buttons are stretched a lot horizontally. I can't do much vertically because the iPhone/iPod screen is just puny, and there's no getting away from that. But I am doing what I can.
You haven't finished it This is.... this is like a global crime! My advice to you is to go run and hide under a rock before others find out and come and fine you
Is that supposed to be sarcasm? The game is overrated, I have no idea what the huge hype about it is. Everyone in this thread seem to be like 10-year old kids goggling over a gumball machine. It's an ok game with sharp graphics, but nothing really more than that. It has the lamest voice acting ever created (perhaps on purpose), all 13 levels of the game are exactly the same despite the fact they have different layouts (but since they all look the same what's the difference?), lots of bugs, and very unbalanced gameplay since some parts are ridiculously easy while other parts makes you want to smash your phone. I would give it 3/5, an average game for an iDevice.
Umm... bugs? There may be a few but the dev is working hard to fix them. Some parts ridiculously easy and some parts that are to hard? I don't know how long you played this game, but it isn't that hard until you get to like wizard or archmage difficulty, plus the harder the game the more fun it is. Unblanced gameplay? I don't think so, all the skills are really balanced, this game also takes strategy to decide on which things to upgrade, so unless you made some ridiculously bad choices, then there wasn't any ridiculously hard parts that made me want to smash my ipod. Plus if you get so mad that you want to smash your iphone, then you need to take a break from gaming and get a life, it's just a game. Those are just my opinions though, and you are welcome to yours. But if you really don't like the game why are you even posting in this thread?
That is almost the ultimate hiding space, now all you have to do to make it perfect is get a huge neon arrow that points to were you are
Hello, my name is Noel Reichel and I provided the voice of Solomon Dark in the game Solomon's Keep. I am not the least bit offended with your comments but was interested if thought that the "lameness" of the voice acting worked for the game or not. How would you improve it?
You must hate fun. Definitely don't be offended, getting a negative comment from Aurora is actually like getting a compliment from anybody else. I personally love Solomon's voice in the game, I thought it was very well done and professional, like straight out of a cartoon or movie. In fact, I get the music and voice samples stuck in my head often because they are so catchy. You'd think that would drive me nuts, but somehow I don't mind it. This is in my top 5 iPhone games, and it only seems to be getting better with each release.
Wow dude, glad you came into the thread just to crap all over the game. I hope someone pees in your coffee tomorrow morning (or maybe they already did and that's why you're so pissy). Sure the game might not be your cup of tea, but that's no reason to troll the entire thread. Rapti, would there be any way to get some info listed about skills, so as to plan a build for max damage? Also maybe get a more detailed breakdown on the stats page?
slowdown Just a note on the slowdown, it may be connected to some sort of fire graphical effect. I'm playing on Wizard using a missile+fireball meld with level2 embers and 3 or 4 missiles, and I see slowdown with the demons and also when there are a bunch of ghosts. However, it seems to get worse after I've shot a couple of times and there are a bunch of embers all over the screen.
I'm trying to get a comprehensive web page together, but you guys keep throwing me off my game with unreasonable demands to fix insignificant bugs like "the game erases my iPhone." Yeah, I will have one eventually, and I'm even talking to someone about doing it *for* me, but try to form I haven't even had time to get him the the information that he could use to being planning the plans. Here's a quick tip on how to make a max build tho: If you see something, kill it!
The one with embers is just graphical overload... it's different than the demon one. I've actually managed to fix the demon one at this point. I am stabilizing the save game now, and when that's finished, I'll beta and submit build 2.1. Incidentally, because I've had to make some fairly radical changes to the way the game saves itself for 2.1, I'm looking for additional beta testers to really beat this thing up so that 2.1 can be bug free and I can move on to adding content. If you are interested in trying 2.1, send me a PM, and don't forget to include your e-mail address and iPhone UID (here's how you get it: http://crenk.com/how-to-find-your-iphone-uuid/). I don't think Apple provides a way for me to offer free in-app purchases for beta testers, but I'll figure out some way for you guys to get something, somehow. If nothing else, I'll give you the beta to the in-app content so that you can play it without having to purchase it at least for a while.
floor 5, archmage difficulty. after going to outer area of the tower - character spawned inside the tower wall. Teleport does not work, reloading the game also.
This bug is going to be nailed in 2.1. I'm changing the whole way the game stores itself in memory (no more caching out to disk), since the current way was causing too many sync glitches.
I helped beta test 2.0. And I really like the game. I've put my SK on pause for a bit, but it's absolutely one of my very favorite iPhone games and I won't be away long!
Not sure if this one has been posted yet, but i found a bug(though not at all sure how it was triggered). I was fighting Solomon on Wizard difficulty and I somehow became invulnerable to his and his monsters damage, and essentially became invincible. Im not sure what triggered it. I was really underpowered(split my skill points between two spells waiting to weld), and he was killing me lots before this, and I wasnt even noticing myself doing any damage to him. The only thing i remember being different was I opened a magic door near the bottom right of the map, and then ignored it to fight him(i didnt normally do this), and soon after that i noticed i had become invincible. Still took me forever to kill him though.
Hey, I just tried the lite version out and I gotta say it's a great game. However before I make a purchase I would like to clarify a few things. How long do you take to complete the game? And if completed, how is replayability like? Are the skill choices given at level ups random or selectable (can't seem to scroll for that one)? Also, would it be possible to make a minimap so that we can see the gameplay and also know where we are at the moment? The map function is good at the moment, but I like to be able to fully view the action ;p And just for fun, will we have a chance to see our blue wizard's face?
