Im glad the 2.0 update was released and excited to play it again! At first, I didn't like how my data got erased but now it gives me a reason to play it through again.
    Thanks Raptisoft!:)

Liking the update, only thing I'd like is the glare option to maybe have two levels one being what it is when off now, and 2 being even brighter. It's alot better though now for outside gaming, but could use an extra level of brightness, specially with summer coming up :)

I found a bug. I purchased the Life Up skill to the maximum, and when I returned through the door to the dungeon... it had diminished back to it's lowest health level. When I went back to the vendor to repurchase... it still said Life Up was maxed out. I'm starting again to see if I can recreate it.

Also, this isn't a bug... but I put 5k coins into experience and only went up 1 level? Really? That seems kinda cheap to me. :)

Awesome game. Thanks so much for making it!

Hrm, did it say "life up 1" on your skill sheet, or did it say, like, life up 5?

Gold translates directly to XP, so if you have 5,000 XP points to the next level, it'll only go up one level. But actually, SK will not handle multiple levels at one time, so if you had only 900xp to the next level, and bought 5,000, what would happen is, every time you killed a monster you'd level up.

    Hi Raptisoft

Just had this bug happen to me as well.

My Skills Sheet sayes "Life Up 5", and I also have a legendary ring that gives all skills +1 but my life has returned to its starting level.

Not sure what caused it but I was on level six, a flying figure hit and drained all of my heath and Solomon said something like "the wizard needs a potion" in a panic I open a door back to the town to buy a potion but when I returned to the dungeon I noticed my health bar was back to its starting level.

Think I might stop playing this until the health level bug is fixed. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love this game but this bug is a bit of a killer.

So far as I have been able to determine so far, this can only happen if you have a +1 to all skills ring, and max life. I will see about getting an update out immediately, though Apple took too danged long to update the previous one. How I wish I could fix and ship in an hour's time like on PC... :(

    Hi Raptisoft

Thanks for the update, looking forward to that patch.

    Glen

p.s. It might have been because I had the +1 to all skills ring but I did not notice a difference in my health between "Life Up 4" and "Life Up 5", the life bar seemed the same size to me. However I freely admit I might not have noticed it changing.

Incidentally, looks like taking that ring off fixes it. So if you're willing to forego the +1/all and just sell it, you should be able to continue playing.

Either way, I'll submit soon, as soon as I see if any new bugs emerge.

Just had to say, the update is simply incredible. The first version was a ton of fun, though it got somewhat stale on repeated playthroughs; 2.0 has elevated it to a whole new level. This game needs to get featured, and you should be charging far more than a buck for it. Alright, now it's time to go kick Solomon's ass with my welded fire missiles.

I probably asked this before but can't recall the answer.

-What happens when you die in the game? Start back at level 1 or just back in town at current level.

-Does the game track any sort of scores/statistics from previous runs?

I will probably wait now, my character had died a couple of times before I gave up.

What is the penalty for dying and then continuing on? I recall reading you lose some of your gold, is that correct?

No, there's no "penalty" per se. You just return to wherever you were when you last entered that level of dungeon before dying. So it's like an autosave/autoload, whenever you set foot on a dungeon floor. All you lose is play time, and if you leveled up since you entered the dungeon floor, you will re-level up with a new random roll of skills.

    See right above... ^

It now tracks your highest Awesomeness score, and any feats you have completed. This is new in 2.0.

Alright, I think I found a bug. When I open a treasure chest, I only have a few seconds to collect the gold before it all disappears. At least, that is what I think is happening. I start collecting the gold on one side, and the gold all around the chest disappears simultaneously after a fraction of a second. I am not sure If I am collecting it or not. I am not walking over it. It just goes away on its own. I would get a screen shot. but it happens too quickly.

Did you pick the telekinesis skill on levelup at any point?

yes I did. Does that attract gold as well?

Also, I found a strangely shaped chest that wont open. Is this supposed to happen? Here is what it looks like:

It almost looks like two chests back to back, but it isn't.

Edit: It happened again, but this time I was paying more attention. The chest opened, but the original image of the closed chest stuck while a second lid flew open.

Yeah, TK lets you pick up anything at a distance. That chest bug is only visual... and I can't for the life of me figure it out yet, because I have never made it happen except when disconnected from the debugger, and the code makes it seem impossible.

Also an FYI... SK Lite is now out, so SK has been raised to $1.99...
