Yeah, what *is* up with that? I had to re-download the file like, three or four times before it took. We're cookin' with lightning now, though, baby!

This game is amazing! I been waiting for this update and I litterally ran to my ipod to update this badboy. I want to throw money at raptisoft
FYI you'll know the update "sticks" if the appname changes to SK I'm off to slap Solomon on th 13th floor!
Loving the update! Magic Circle is amazing. Unfortunately, I have found a bug. There are "invisible blocks". On the 4th floor, I found a space that is solid. It cannot be walked through, and it blocks spells. Edit: Not sure if this counts as a bug, but when I picked fireball for my primary skill, it gave me fireball and explosion 1. Edit 2: Your experience bar doesn't change after buying experience. After killing an enemy it updates.
Just a question. I updated the game and my saved game has been erased. Is it normal? Ok, i'll begin from scratch and that's not so bad since i like SK so much, but just to know if there's a bug doing that or not. Thanks for the answer
question on new combine skills. been playing the game for a few hours now and I can't seem to understand the combine skill... say magic missile + fire ball. I can get the skill, but it seems like it never gets any more powerful? I tried picking both more magic missiles and also fireballs but that didn't do anything to raise the damage. also, even after you get the combine spell talent, it still pops up randomly and when you pick it, nothing actually happens. also, is there a limit in how much support spells can level up to with combined spells? I picked more missiles 3 times but my missile/fireball combine spell only shot out 2 balls. so I m wondering if I get more embers or fireball explosions does it actually do anything? basically what I m asking is... how do you level up combined spells, thanks.
Combined spells never level up themselves. But if you upgrade the other spells, the spells that make up the combined spell, then when you combine again, you get the new features in your combined spell. So say you have magic missile 1 and lightning 1... then you weld them. Now you have ball lightning that does a little damage. For the next couple levels, you pump up magic missile, get more missiles, and chaining too. This does not affect your ball lightning spell. But after five levels, you are offered the combine option again. At this point, your new magic missile stats, plus more missiles, and chaining, get welded into your combined spell as well. So in essence, you only get the option to beef up your combined spell every five levels... and that only if you level up the spell ingredients.
It is. The savegame format changed so much during the 2.0 changes that there was no way to recover the old ones. I meant to put that in the update list, but must have forgotten somehow.
Invisible Blocks: Strange... I'll look into it. Does it stay there, or does it vanish eventually? How about if you leave the dungeon and come back? Your Edit: That's a weird one. Cursory testing doesn't duplicate it for me, so I'm not sure. Your Edit 2: I'll look into that... sounds like it's just not updating visually, if the monster killing fixes it.
But fortunately, I extended the save game format so that future updates will not require a wipe. I never pictured SK doing well enough out of the gate to actually extend the game, so I didn't plan ahead for that in 1.0. Yow, one-star reviews because the savegame doesn't carry across the update? Tough crowd! The original game was less than an hour long!
