I purchased this awhile ago when it went to $0.99 but I'm going to wait to play it until the update is out. Sounds great so far.
My experance Hello, my name is Noel Reichel. I have been beta testing Solomon's Keep for the past couple of weeks. I thought I was post just a little bit on my experience to cut down on your Solomon's Keep cravings until 2.0 comes out. The main menu looks great. I love the different challenges the annalist gives you. Now if only John would put in my idea to have a helper monkey follow Serious and throw feces at enemies. When playing make sure you watch your back. And watch out for the chests. The higher difficulty levels will be great for those who want more of challenge. The hardest difficulty level is crazy!
@thedorklord that really cut down my cravings. now i can wait as long need be for the update. /sarcasm
Thanks for the impressions! I can't wait! By the way, when you say that the hardest difficulty level is crazy, what do you mean? Were you able to beat it? Are there any differences besides the strength of the monsters?
I think "watch your back" means that no longer will one monster spawn for each room and then they all spawn when you walk in. I think it means you may get sandwich trapped when you clear a room, walk into the next and they BOTH get spawned. but the feces thing is suspicious...
It's easily one of the most polished games on the app store as is. When it first came out, it was already one of the richest gaming experiences I've seen on a mobile platform. 2.0 will just make it even richer. Absolutely no reason to wait until then.
While you're waiting for the update, you could play Hoggy. One of my other all time favorite iPhone games made by... Raptisoft.
Crazy Yea I could beat it, but it was tough. As you advance in level it takes longer and longer to level up again. The monsters are stronger and have more hit points, and there are more of them.
Random I have been playing with the new random challenge. I really like it. I am using lightening as that is what was chosen for me. I was able to purchase battle mage in town, but it never randomly chooses for me to learn it! I was at level twenty and no mana help at all. My lightning ate though my mana. I had twenty thousand gold pieces saved for when I could by it. Then it came. I bought it to max and kicked butt. The computer randomly gave me some new things. I am going though now on wizard level and having a ball. I suggested to John that when you reach Solomon at the archmage level that the player finds out that Solomon Dark is actually squid like robot ninja from the future to collect mana to feed his pet fluffy bunnie. I hope he put that in there.
Alright boys and girls the update shall be submitted today, most bugs seemed to be fixed and you didn't hear this from me but coming soon a place to grind and two additional classes, let's see how many ppl read this part
Anyone highlight my post up there yet? Though I can't seem to read it on my iPod, computer should work though
Highest level? The first time I played SK I finished it in about an hour, it was pretty quick. However I went back to try and play again with different skills and I have been playing for probably 5 hours and I have yet to reach the end boss. I'm on floor 10 and level 34, my stats say my XP is 419,983 / 4,525,856 and I've killed 7039 monsters. 4,525,856!?! That is not a typo, it would take me a year of playing to reach XP of 4 million! Is this the "glitch" that was mentioned earlier where its impossible to finish the game in some situations?
I played using random boast pretty challenging that is until it let me pick my own skill lol(was a glitch), yea I was abl to finish the game this time
Magic circle and that shield are beast when it's leveled up was going to try no knowledge boast but new build came out
