Totally addicted to this game! I've never passed 14 with warrior and wonder if I buy a new card deck and learn new strategies will improve my game or instead stay with the warrior until I pass it? Just curious?
I completed every character before moving to the next one. I only skipped the rogue becouse he doesn't have shields, completed monk, returned to rogue and now I am at the last character
Just finished warrior class. This game is so addicting although it definitely has a lot of luck elements as well. The other game that rivals it is pocket card jockey on the 3ds which would be a mega hit if they ever made it for iOS or android!
Hey guys, really sorry for the bumpy few weeks and lack of communication. I was really sick last week, and overwhelmed with life stuff. Full disclosure, we got very bogged down with the cloud feature and it was tougher than we expected. But, with 1.12 we believe we are finally through the weeds and everything should work well. Bonus in the latest update: we fixed Jam Cube's cheating ways (he would recubify from 5 to 3 columns. Not cool!) So, now we are just buttoning up the Android version (announcement is imminent) and then have some cool ideas for more content. Stay tuned!
Go three pages back, there is something about minimalising luck factors Great to hear that more content is coming! ))
Hi all. Great game. Finished it with all characters. Now I want to reset the game and start fresh again. How do I do that? Deleted and reinstalled the game but my progress was still there. Can anyone help me? Greetings Pug
Thank you! I haven't tried this, but the way it works is it checks cloud and adds any unlocks to the current save file. So if it cannot access the cloud data, it will just skip that and continue as if cloud doesn't exist. So you may be able to achieve this by uninstalling, logging out of game center and/or turning off cloud before launching. Might have to try a few things and see what works. Sustaining it may be annoying as at any time you turn cloud back on it will add all the unlocks again.
While I can somewhat appreciate what Pug is trying to do here, at least something must be said for the game's robust iCloud backup that sounds very difficult to nigh impossible lose your progress with.
Thank you for answering. That is exactly what I did. Deleted the game, restarted in airplane mode and began a new game. And - believe it or not - won warrior without any unlocks on the first try. Can't believe my "luck" and was quite proud. But - well - because in between I went "online" again, after I finished warrior the game went back to my old progress. Just as you described. Too bad. While I can also appreciate the "stability" or rather stubbornness of the cloud backup feature, I am still kind of disappointed that there seems to be no way to reset all progress. Would you consider updating the game with a reset button? Or at least consider it for your next game? The reason for my disappointment is clearly only apparent, because I enjoy your game that much Greetings Pug
I am considering some updates to progression which will mean cloud can be on and not conflict with the desire to play a hardcore journey. Will announce here if we are going to be launching a significant update! In the meantime, one thing you could try is looking in settings and seeing if you can disable cloud for the app individually.
I actually beat the entire game the very first time I played. It kind of soured me on it. No progression, no unlocking, no learning - I just had perfect luck and beat the game. Took me about a week to decide to play again, haha. I love it now and play often trying to unlock everything.
Wow, that's pretty amazing actually! It is a tough thing to balance, as we refused to fudge randomness behind the scenes. It is pure that way, but with that comes huge variability. There is luck for sure, and then there are a few layers of skill which make a huge difference. The solitaire portion and the RPG portion. So the game is tuned to be challenging for the bulk of the bell curve of players, but if you are really sharp and experienced with RPG and have good instincts with how to remove cards optimally, you have a huge advantage and may not even need all the upgrades. Believe it or not, there are also people out there who ask how it is even possible to beat the game!
Armored card "bug" Found an interesting issue with armored cards. If you happen to have an item or effect that reveals the second card in a column, but that card is armored, then you won't be able to see what card it is because armored cards don't have numbers written at the top of them. Also I finally beat the game, with the warrior. Yassss paladin is next.
I reported this back in the early days. Don't think there was an answer back then, so it seems nothing ever came of it.
Is there a known issue where the game randomly stops accepting touch input on cards? I can access the menu screen and stuff but can't touch any cards. It has happened three times, usually when I'm far enough into a game to piss me off. iPad Air 2, newest firmware.
I haven't seen this before, but will add it to the list to look into. Thanks for bringing it up and sorry you got pissed off! A workaround would be to close the app and restart, resume feature will take you right back to the last valid point in gameplay.
Just wanted to let you all know that the Android version is now live on Google Play. And it is free! (You can unlock it for the same price as iOS to make it premium)
Congrats! Do you have any numbers about how popular the game is? Like number of how many time is the game played each day or at least number of downloads?
Just downloaded in Android (also have the iOS version). What needs to be unlocked? Have I just not made it far enough yet?
