Thanks for the update! I hope iCloud works since I don't see an option anywhere (I'm guessing it's in the background). The new graphic assets are nice and sharp. Love it! I do think the cards look kind of dark-ish? But that doesn't really matter that much. And then I really prefer the old icon with the purple background as opposed to the black but I do like how it got sharper. Its like the entire game got an HD overhaul I hope for more great updates ahead!
The addition of iCloud is great... But now the game doesn't load without an internet connection. As I found out on my flight today
Wow I didn't even realize that. I think this one requires a quick fix since that was probably one of the main selling points for me (an offline game). Not sure what happened.. Hopefully they fix it soon.
It must be buggy then because the game still doesn't work for me in airplane mode. I tried again right now and the game sits on the loading screen showing the 4 elements over and over and over and over and... Once the game loads I can play fine if I turn on airplane mode, but the initial game load seems stuck without a connection. iPhone 6S+ iOS 10.1.1 Works great with a connection, and the iCloud ability is appreciated.
Tried my devices. Won't work in airplane mode. I have all new devices - iPhone 7's etc and latest firmware.
Read this and tried out myself: Same for me (iPhone 6 iOS 9.3.3) if I turn on airplane mode game won't start. If I turn on airplane mode and wifi (with connection) game will start again. If game was started it will continue to run if airplane mode is activated afterwards.
Not refuting other people's claims; just want to add more data about the situation: The game loads and runs fine for me in airplane mode. No problems or hiccups at all. I'm using an iPod Touch 6 with iOS 10.0.2.
Same situation with me doesn't work without a connection! I can't play on the train anymore as there is no signal underground it sucks but I'm sure (fingers crossed) the Dev will come up with a fix soon!!! 6S 10.1

Good news folks, the developers have just released an update to Solitairica. My 2 cents - Just updated and tested, everything works great. Thank you Righteous Hammer Games for the speedy fix.
