His stomp takes five turns. If you use dodge, that makes it 10 and you can apply it again and again! There's also the trampoline/defense which will reflect the damage back, and the willpower one that will take damage and heal you. Dodge is worth it for the ogre alone. Side note: just realized the bard's sun skill and the attack skill which triples card bonus will work on triple coins and those colorful pentagons. Sweet.
Anyone know what that last bard skill is? 25 percent refill. So it does health and the number grows but I don't see it do anything other than heart. Thought it maybe did energy type refills as well
This one confused me as well when I first started. I believe it's actually 25% of your total energy is turned into healing. So the more energy you have ( of any if the types), the more you heal. If you used up all your energy it'll heal very little.
Actually, Bard is a lot of fun--possibly my second favorite after Monk--and very powerful. I'd argue his Song spell is the best heal in the game. For only 3 Willpower, it can heal up to 10 hitpoints in one go (if you have all four energies maxed out). Granted, that's incredibly unlikely that you'd have all four maxed out, but it's pretty easy to get 5- or 6-point heals out of it, which is still a bargain for 3 Willpower. And the Bard's other class-specific spell, Inspiration, has great synergy with Song. It lets you triple the gains from any card besides agility cards, meaning you can triple an energy card to build up resources or triple coin cards to build up money. Also, Inspiration stacks with Expose Weakness, making it possible to gain 9 Willpower (or 9 coins) from a single card. Once you get that loadout going, the Bard is pretty much nonstop heals and rarely short of money. Also also, with so much Willpower at his disposal, it's easy to cast some of the really damaging purple spells, like Arcane Missiles and Comet Storm. TL;DR - Don't underestimate the Bard.
Ya three games later I demolished stuck with the bard. Easiest class to play. Expose weakness and the 3x allowed me to stack huge level spells.
I bought this game a while ago and I have it on my watch list in case of any articles and news. I see it is on sale now and I just came to recommend the game to you. What a gem. I don't even play solitaire.
Lol, I feel the same way! This game was a tremendous value at full price and is practically a steal at this sale price. You owe it to yourself to just get this game. (Warning, do not get this game if you have a highly addictive personality because you will NOT be able to put it down!) lol
Just finished the tutorial and won my fist battle. Looking in the Store I see that I can pay to either 'Hold' or 'Buy' items. I understand 'Buy', but what is the cheaper 'Hold'?
Hold basically keeps the item in the store at the next round, so if there's a particular item you really want but can't afford, you can pay to 'Hold' it and get it next time if you have the required money. I agree this is relatively ambiguous at first; I initially thought it was like a one round rent of an item lol
Each time you visit the shop, the items are semi random with no guarantee they'll be there next time when you have the money. After playing for a while you will eventually prefer a certain build for each character, and that requires buying specific skills from the shop. So after a while the 'hold' button can be very useful. Until of course you work out how to make so much money that you just buy everything you see whether you need it or not...
Wish you could spend tokens to refresh the shop inventory. After you've unlocked and upgraded the decks, tokens have limited value, would love another option to use them besides hourglasses.
I don't know if anyone has already reported this. Tried the search but couldn't find anything. I have an iPhone 4s and just bought the game and it's just cut off in the upper and lower sides. I can't see the full game screen, so can't see the full monster pic nor the cost of my abilities etc. I hope devs see this... I really want to play the game fine. =(
Iphone 4s in 2016 please, you cannot expect games to run correctly on that junk nowaday! Just upgrade
Man, I can tell I really like this game because I'm seriously angry at it and want to delete it and never look back. LOL! Had my best warrior run yet and with an hourglass boffed on Ysmalt(sp?) or whatever - the stone dude. I've crushed him plenty of times, but the cards I got dealt were just horrible. I started with enough red, green, and blue to start with an attack, a perceive 1 (reveal row behind front cards), and almost a shield bash. No luck! Barely dug into the third row before dying and failed to make much of a dent in row one the first couple of turns both times. It was like a wall of crap cards. Definitely feeling the RNG...
Are you kidding me? Get off your high horse. Yes their phone is old but displaying incorrectly. They weren't rude about it. They were disappointed and rightly so. There's nothing that says it's not compatible with an iPhone 4, the devs could easily have prevented it if they didn't want it, but they didn't. From what I've seen from these developers, they are happy to help ensure as many people can play the game as possible. So stop being a jerk, please, and get off the butt of the guy who was simply asking a polite question. Some people man. You're welcome to help them afford a new device, too. You seem to be just made of money.

Thanks! Glad to see nice people after that rude one. Yes I have and old phone, with the front camera broken, and it tuurns off with 20% batt, I wish I could afford a new phone but I can't. I haven't bought a new phone game for a while and saw this one with that art, solitaire+rpg, good comments and devs so I wanted to support and play it. Obviously if I'd known that it didn't work right on iphone 4s I wouldn't have bought it and waited to be fixed or be able to buy it on steam. But I have it and it really seems like a game I'd have a lot of fun with and wish Dev's can fix it so I can enjoy it 100%. =)
